Hi my name is Olivia Marie Allen. Yes I am the daughter of Barry and Iris Allen. And I have speed just like my dad. My family knows about my powers but they dont want me to use them to fight crime. And by them I mean my dad. He is way too overprotective when it comes to that kind of stuff. All I want to do is help the people of Central City just like him but he doesn't understand that. I love my parents and all but sometimes I wish they would just bud out of my life. There is something that they don't know though and they can never find out. Since my dad won't train me I have been trying to find a way to run to the future so Thawne can train me. My dad would kill me if he even knew I went to the future let alone went there to see the person who killed his mother. Anyway enough about me let's get to my life.
"Olivia time to get up" my dad yelled.
"5 more minutes." I pleaded
"Olivia Marie now!"
"Fine." I yelled. I really hate when he does this. It's Saturday at 7 and I'm 16 the only thing I want to do is sleep but no i can't have that. My parents insist on a family cooked meal every weekend which is stupid because my mom has no idea how to cook. Don't get me wrong I love her but man does she make a horrible pancake.
"Good morning sweetie" my mom said
"Morning mom"
"Nice to see your face" my dad retorted
"It's 7am you're lucky my eyes are open" I said as my dad came over and kissed my head and placed a plate of burnt pancakes in front of me. "What are we doing today" i asked
"Well I'm going to STAR labs to meet up with Caitlyn and Cisco and your mother is going to follow a story for the Citizen." my father said
"Ok I'll go with you then dad."I responded
"Olivia you know the rules. You're not allowed to come with me to STAR labs." my dad said
"I do know the rules but there stupid and those were put in place when you first learned about my powers when I was 5. Im 16 i think i'll be fine.'' I said matter of factly "Plus I see Caitlyn and Cisco all the time. They are like my aunt and uncle. It's not like I don't know about your guys' powers."
"Olivia i'm not having this conversation with you again." my dad said starting to get angry
"Barry just calm down ok" my mom said stepping in
I was starting to get angry now "Just give me one good reason why I can't go with you"
"You could get hurt." he said
"That's not a good reason and it's not like i'm going to be doing anything anyway i'm just going to watch what's wrong with that" I had had it with him at this point.
"Olivia Im your father its my job to keep you safe and this conversation is over." he said fed up with me
"Just because I gave you a reason that made sense and you got scared you're going to shut it down just like that. Fine!" I said storming out of the apartment as my name was being called. Honestly I wanted them to worry about me. They deserved to be miserable like me.
