Dendy's POV

The sun started to set as i went deeper into the forest. "K.O?! T.K.O?!" I hollered. Still no response...It was getting late, I couldn't find them anywhere... "Was Fink right..?" I said to myself. But i can't give up yet! I continued to search, even at the place where Fink and I first hung out at. But still nothing...
"Hmm...I could use my hack-pack but..." I pulled out my hack-pack and saw the damages to it. I'd have to fix it when i get home, hopefully... Soon, the moon started to rise. It was already time for me to head home, but i can't just leave K.O. behind! I have to find him..
There was a small splash coming from the lake. I stood still since it was night time, and that's when the nocturnal animals come out. I waited but nothing came out? The splashing continued so i decided to check out the area. My heart started to race as i kept creeping closer and closer, but i saw a pebble being thrown. Is that...

"K.O..?"
"Ah!" I could hear him shuffle then turned over to me, "Oh...hi Dendy.." he said sadly
"K.O I'm glad you're okay!" I said with excitement. I then say next to him.
He looked away, "Y-You probably hate me now..." I could hear some sniffles come from him
"What? No no! K.O, i never hated you!" I said as i tried to put a hand on his shoulder, but he moves it away gently
"You probably should...I let T.K.O free..The plaza is destroyed..You're hurt..!" K.O. starts to cry at the last sentence
"K.O..I'm okay! It'll heal in about a week or two"
K.O says nothing in response. The only response he gave was his tears. I quickly pulled him into a tight hug, "I-I'm supposed to be a hero...Not some monster..villain person..." He sobbed harder, my heart broke as he kept crying. I started to stroke the back of his oddly shaped hair
"K.O. it's okay.." I brung him closer. I felt a strong feeling towards him. What was this feeling..? Should i share this feeling now? Should i wait?

"Hey K.O?" His tears stopped for a bit and pulled away. I bung our my hack-pack, K.O's sadness returned again
"Dendy your-"
"It's okay, here" I pulled out a POW card and handed it to him
K.O eyes lit up and gasped, "An ultra race metallic Cowboy Darrel POW Card!!?? Thank you Dendy!!" He hugged the card, I smiled at him and nodded as a "Thank you"

"Kids?" I heard someone call out. K.O. got up and ran up to Carol with a tight hug, "Peanut!! Where have you been?!"
I followed from behind and saw my parents, I too ran up to them and gave them a tight hug. "Dends! You're okay!" they both called out
"Oh i'm so so sory they're out here this late!" Carol says as she placed K.O. down.
"No," I said, "It was my choice to look for K.O. Please don't blame him" Our parents looked at each other with a slight smile
"Dendy.." Mama called, "You're hurt sweetie.." she knelt down and examine my cheek, I slightly hissed in pain.

"I-I'm so sory..." K.O says with some slight sniffles, "All of this happened because of me..." He held onto Carol's hand, "Mommy..can we go now...?" Carol looked at him confused for a bit then nodded slightly
"We're gonna get going..Stay safe for the rest of the night and i really am sory for this happening!" Carol says as she gave my parents one last goodbye

I watched K.O. and Carol as they walked away. "I didn't get to tell him.." I thought.
Would it even be worth telling?
