He couldn't get them out of his head. Ever since the day he met them, they've been nothing but supportive of his life choices. Always there somehow to give him words of encouragement. He hadn't felt this way about someone since...well, never. When he asked his friend about these conflicted feelings, he laughed and told the wolf what he was feeling was love.
Love...was that it?
"Lego...you hear me?" He snapped out of his thoughts, turning to the person sitting next to him.
"Wh-what?" They rolled their eyes.
"I asked if you wanted to get dinner with me at the festival, silly!" They said, tapping him on the nose playfully. He covered it with both hands, stuttering.
"I-i...yes..." He mumbled. They grinned, giving him a brief hug. He relished in their warmth, gently tugging them closer. Their scent wafted into his mind as he held them in his arms. He never wanted this feeling to leave. Eventually, they tapped him on the shoulder, and he let go, blushing, which only made them laugh.
"I'll see you tonight, okay?" He nodded quickly, eyes trailing after them as they went to their next class.

He sat on the wooden bench, tugging at the sea blue yukata he wore. The summer festival was already in full swing, and he found himself waiting eagerly to experience it all with his friend.
"Sorry I'm late. Took me a bit to find this..." He turned his head to face them, freezing at the sight. "What's wrong?" They said, tilting their head. Like him, they were dressed for the occasion, a nice white with gray linings along the sleeves. They held a closed hand near the neck opening, pulling on it nervously. "Too much?" They asked, oddly meek in the moment. He waved his hands frantically.
"N-no! You look..." Perfect. "Great!" Standing up stiffly, he walked over to them, crouching slightly in order to meet their eye level.
"Thanks. You too, Wolfy." He blushed at one of the many nicknames they've given him, but couldn't stop his tail from wagging. "Shall we?" They held out one hand, and he took it gently. He found himself feeling warm and content as they did everything they could at the festival. He cherished every laugh and smile they gave him.
When they sat down for a break he watched as they left to go find some food for them to eat. He continued to watch them when they found a sweets stand, ordering one for each of them. He snapped out of his daze when he noticed someone else talking to them. He strained his ears, but couldn't hear what they were saying.
They laughed at something the other said, and a cold chill washed over him. He stared as they gave the carnivore a hug, walking back over to him. They rose a brow before sitting down and handing him the candy.
"You okay Legosi?" He glared at the candy in his hands.
"Y-yeah...." He played it off, hoping they'd forget about it. They stared at him for a while longer, before shrugging and biting into their own flavored candy. His chest rumbled as he growled into his bite. His thoughts darkened as he wondered how many others eyed them like he did. They were his. He shakes his head. No, wait...he shouldn't think like that. They were allowed to like people other than him...
Right?

The festival had begun to wind down, with many seeking a secluded spot to watch the fireworks at the end of it all. You dragged Legosi through the park, finding a spot underneath a small tree. You and the wolf sat down, leaning on each other as you both gazed at the full moon.
"Did you have fun?" You asked him, and he nodded.
"Mmhmm." He said, tail batting your back lazily. You laughed, taking the appendage in your hand and stroking it, watching him stiffen. "[N-name]!"
