Chapter 27

"Bryce!!" I say and pull the guy taller than me into a hug. "What are you doing here?" I ask him. He puts his hand in my hair and stroke them like he always does. "Hi Jess. I'm just picking up some food. I was here with-" he gets cut off by the guy coming from behind me and walking towards him. "Our order is here, Bryce. Oh Jess hi. Didn't know I'll see you here or I would've dressed nicely. What are you doing here? why haven't you returned any of my texts?" Harry questioned.

"Hi Harry. I was just here to do some shopping. I'm sorry I wasn't feeling well for a couple of days." I lie. The truth is that I don't wanna be around him. He is a threat to Jaden and I respect it. "Oh that's too bad. Are you ok now?" He asks me. There was sympathy in his eyes which almost made me feel guilty for a second. Maybe I shouldn't be so ignorant towards him after all. "Yeah I'm better." I smile. "Do you wanna come with us? We're going to Harry's to play video games?" Bryce asks me. "Uh no, I have to go." I say with my teeth clenched. "That's too bad. I'll see you at the sway then? Come over for movie night today?" Bryce asks me. "Uhm, I don't know I-" he cuts me. "You're coming." He says and hugs me before I could say no. "I'll see you tonight" he say. He snatches the bag of food from Harry and walks out of McDonald's. "I better get going." Harry says and I nod. "Oh and um.. I'll text you tonight, be a darling and text me back." He winks at me and leaves McDonald's. Holy fuck.

I take my order and walk out of McDonald's. I sit in my car and start driving home.
Jaden- Bryce told me he invited you to movie night. The one thing that guy has done right since choosing to date Addison. I'm coming to pick you up for a movie night at the sway tonight. Wear something comfy as you'll probably have to sleep here. Be there is 30😉
Me- i have McDonald's for you;)
Jaden- beauty and brains. You got me falling for you.
I giggle. I drive home and change into one of a comfy crop top and shorts. I take my contacts out and wear my glasses as it's a trouble to remove contacts when not in home. After a few minutes, I hear my phone ping.
Jaden-I'm here. Let your hair down rupunzel.
Me- firstly, you're not coming up. Secondly, I have short hair.

I walk out of my apartment with the bag of McDonald's in my hand and walk down to his car. He looks at me and his eyes grow wide. "Woah, I didn't know you had glasses." He half laughs. "Yeah, I don't wear them often though" I tell him. He smiles. I hand him the bag of McDonald's and he smiles looking at it and then looks back at me. He moves closer like he's gonna kiss me but I move back and put my hand on him mouth. "I was serious when I said you're gonna have to do something good to deserve the kiss." I tell him. He sighs. He doesn't say anything he just started to drive towards the sway house in silence.

When we reach, I get out of the car and walk into the house, not bothering to knock. I move towards the living room area and I see everyone sitting there through the glass. The moment I'm about to enter someone hold my hand and drags me away from it. "Jaden what are you doing?" I ask him with a frown on my face. "Go to my room." He whispers. "What? Wh-" he cuts me. "Stop questioning and just go Jess" he says almost laughing. I slightly smile and I walk down. I reach his room and open the door. I look over to his bed and see a box of chocolates and a small teddy kept. There is a small note kept under the chocolate box kept which says 'I'm sorry for calling you annoying, kiss me already.' I smile. I look behind me and Jaden is leaning on his door looking at me.

I walk over to him, and without thinking press his lips against mine. One of his hands move to my neck and one seats itself on my waist, pulling me close to him. I wrap my hands around his neck and pull his face closer to mine. After a few seconds I pull away in need of air. "Wow" Jaden says. "If you're gonna kiss me like that, I'll get you a box of chocolates everyday." He says and I smile. I hold his hand and take him upstairs back to where everyone was sitting.
