Gediz
She was in every corner.
Nare had taken him completely by surprise, and he didn't know how to react. And he had imagined this moment so many times in his head, with so many different and disparate scenarios, that this, precisely this, would never have imagined it.It was ironic that one of the most spent moments in his mind was the least clear to act on. For a moment he wanted to stop her, he didn't want to confuse her, make a mistake that would push it away.
He'd never have a problem if she was a different girl, but Nare ... she was special.
Gediz remembered how much it had cost him to gain her trust, when a hug had been one of his greatest triumphs.
A movement, a wrong touch, and Nare could get hurt.
If something he did evoked something from the past that hurt her so much, he wouldn't forgive him.
It was too late.Nare was already there, sweeping away every sane thought he had left, taking it all and making it her own. He felt the palm of her hand on his neck, her smell of flowers.
And although the medications had numbed him, he felt as alive as he had never been in his life.
She brought him to life again.
Nare took over his entire being, without leaving a single corner to flood.
He took her back gently, hesitantly first, pulling her closer to him little by little, and Nare didn't stop him.
He continued, she too, Nare placing her hand on his shoulder, down to his arm. The wounds, the bruises, nothing mattered.
And he would have continued, but his head made his triumphal entry, reminding him of everything his heart wanted to ignore:Sancar breaking Nare's heart, she with pain in her heart, Gediz knowing that she still loved him, Sancar's jealousy, Müge believing that only there would suffer in that place.
Gediz cursed himself for ruining one of the moments he had dreamed of the most.
He stopped, and watched as Nare slowly came to herself. She connected briefly with his eyes, and Gediz watched her as he had done so many times. Taking her cheeks with both hands and he collided his nose with hers, Nare held his hands in his.
They both closed their eyes, but he could feel her smile.
"This was quite different from what I had imagined," he said wryly.
-How did you imagine? -she replied in a soft voice, opening her big eyes again, the ones he loved.
"I was standing ," she laughed, "and I was the one kissing you."
-Once you said it was like an earthquake, I remember it very well. Unexpected and mobilizing, those were the words, I think.
-Of course, the most powerful of all. Both were silent, Nare watched him innocently. Gediz broke it with a question.-I don't know if this is a moment for questions, but ...when you ...?Nare quickly understood the meaning of his question. She raised her eyes and took a short breath, like when she was counting something she kept.
-For a long time, I lived clinging to the idea that my whole world, all my options, they were just one.. I lived my life accordingly, I supported things that I thought I would never bear,I became what I swore never to be.-He kept listening--But now, I have more options than I imagined, and when you almost died, at that moment, I understood that I don't want to continued losing time.Because I want those little moments when I don't worry about anything else, to be permanent.Because when I'm with you, I can only smile, because you ...make me happy.
