It was late April 2020, the Corona virus is still going around and we're all bored. Well maybe too bored. Ellie turns around to look at the small clock by the night stand.
"11:46pm...huh quarantine has me bored as hell."
She said with a eyes half closed as she laid down on the brown wooden floor. Letting out a sigh she grabs her phone and went on random apps for fun.
Scrolling through her phone she came across an interesting video, it caught her attention. The video was short and decent. It was about a girl telling how she met a guy on it. Ellie was bored and was up for interacting with new people, who knows, she might get a new best friend.
Downloading the app, Ellie got up and sat on her chair with a frown thinking to herself.
"Is this app really going to cure my boredom.."
She said and shakes her head, opening up the app she sets up her profile picture and made it a friendly profile where no one had to be scared of her.
She waited.
And waited.
And waited.
[ Aiden added you as a friend ]
This notification made Ellie's mood lighten up. Finally someone added her! In the speed of light she quickly grabs her phone and opens it up. The dude seems...decent and genuine. She thought about it and shrugs.
"Why not?"
She said as she added him back.
A: Heyy
E: Hi there
A: how r u
E: I'm good u?
And from that on Ellie felt a click, she had found another part of her! It was like they were perfect for each other. The whole night they snapped and chatted. Sending pics back and forth, joking around, vibing with each other and just getting to know each other.
They chatted for so so long and it was already 2:30am. Time passes by so so fast while she was talking to him. Ellie felt...happy. She can't believe she was feeling this emotion again. She was happy.
Happy.
She sighs and smiled. Was she really feeling happy? Was she really doing better now?
Both said goodnight and went off to sleep, and trust me. Ellie had a pretty sweet dream.
