Armin Fights Bertholdt

Spoilers for season 3!

SEASON 3 EPISODE 52 - DESCENT (I've taken the script from this scene and continued on from it. I've changed it where Mikasa doesn't come to help Armin and Armin is left to fight Bertholdt on his own) 

Third Person POV 

Armin used his ODM gear to catch up with Hange. She was headed for Bertholdt and Reiner. 

"Please wait!" Armin pleaded. 

"Armin?" She asked confused. She wasn't expecting him. 

Armin looked at her with determination. "This is our final chance to negotiate!" With that, he sped up ahead of her and rested against the roof of a building. 

"Stop Bertholdt! Just wait a minute!" Armin yelled at Bertholdt. 

Bertholdt rested against the opposite roof of Armin's. It was identical to his. 

Eren and the others were watching the whole time. Everyone was worried for Armin's sake, knowing all to well how dangerous Bertholdt is. 

"Armin... what are you trying to achieve?" Eren thought. He was more worried than the others. He deeply cared for Armin. He never admitted it, but he loved Armin romantically. He never had the guts to say anything. Now he regretted that because this may be the last chance for him to tell Armin. 

Armin took a deep breath. "We don't have to fight! Let's talk this over!" 

Bertholdt took a deep breath as well, ready to yell so Armin could hear him. "If I agree to talk, will you all be willing to lay down and die!?"

Armin let out a quiet gasp, shaky and quick. 

"We only want two simple things! Eren Jaeger and the death of everyone in the walls! That's the harsh truth of our situation! Understand?! " Bertholdt yelled. "All of your fates have been decided!" 

Armin's eyes widened and his lips parted yet again. "What?! And who is it that decided that?!" 

Bertholdt mumbled "I did." But Armin didn't think he heard him right. 

"What was that?!" He yelled. 

"It was me, Armin! I decided your lives should end here and now!" Bertholdt yelled. 

Armin glared at Bertholdt, trying desperately to seem strong and ready to fight. But Armin was terrified. He was trembling and his breath was quick and shaky. 

"That's a real shame, Bertholdt! See, I was hoping, I would finally get to stop hearing Annie scream!" Armin yelled out with much more emotion than before. 

Bertholdt gasped quietly and his eyes widened. 

"There's only one person who can save her from the savages in the Military Police, and that's you! If you don't, she'll be fed to the pigs!" Armin continued, trying to get Bertholdt to lower his guard. 

"That's fine by me!" Bertholdt yelled, using his ODM gear to get away. 

Armin gasped yet again. He wasn't sure what to do now. 

"Let them feed Annie to the pigs!" Bertholdt yelled, getting closer to Armin. 

Armin didn't realize how close he was getting. 

"If they actually have her that is!" Bertholdt yelled. 

Armin started to run across another roof, trying to get away, but Bertholdt landed in front of him, blocking him from running. 

Armin could only run to left or right. He was blocked from behind him and in front of him.

Armin let out a scared cry and backed away a bit, looking up at Bertholdt scaredly.
