6 MONTHS TO THE PRESENT DAY...
[ CHARLOTTE'S POV ]
'Hey Henry, we need to get going but meet us at T.R.U.T.H., right? Just call me back, okay?' I end the call and shove the phone into my pocket. No answer - nothing. A one hour task has turned to four hours, as I find myself and Jasper finally deciding to just meet him there.
We carry on in silence, which is unusual for us. Jasper's acting stranger than normal and he's hardly said a word. Something or someone's likely on his mind, but it does feel like he's not telling me something. Maybe I'm concerned because he's being so distant or because he's been staring off until space for most of today. But clearly whatever it is he's doesn't seem to want to share and to be honest I don't really blame him.

Mr Desilva greets us happily as I tell him our new stance on the offer - we do want to help but not as test subjects. This time he accepts straight away smiling broadly at us, it's weird how much has seemed to change in a matter of hours from our last encounter. Everything's settled, everything's sorted, and apparently we start on Monday. I should feel excited that we're a foot into the door of making the world a better place. But it feels off - not just the initial red flags or the sudden change in Mr Desilva's personality. It's the fact that when he smiled over at us, Jasper turned instantly away his face burning red.
He's done something and I need to know what. As we leave the place, I pull him over to the side.
'Okay, Jasper, why are you acting so quiet? You never act quiet.' I demand over to him, my concern rising. He goes to speak but his body starts to go slack as his eyes loll back into his head. Suddenly, he collapses to the ground as consciousness leaves his body.
This chapter is soooo unbelievably short - because I need to get back to Henry and Jasper's POV, hopefully though it's still good even if it is just filler.
I'm struggling to chose what song to add on for this chapter to set the mood, I guess, so if anyone does have suggestions please tell me.
