Time is slowly said to change,
But the mindless days stay the same
The drone of it all methodically rots the brain
So where is the change?
What is the difference between each rain
Getting stuck in that constant rut
Keeping the world away, dark and shut
Away from sunshine in love
Just take a step to the left or right
Change your pace or stop downright
Look around at the world before you
Keep those eyes up, off of your shoes
The monotone should turn to color
A rainbow of beauty beyond any other
Now the change is here to stay
As long as you keep your mind away
From the cold, dark, and sad abyss of life
The part that is filled with only strife
Just grin and wave as it will approach
