"i don't bow down to kings that wear crowns studded with skulls"
. . .
"get her" a voice screeched as soon as she entered the chaos. the nct members still struggling to fight against starship, they all turned to face her as she took off around the shelves. she wanted to derive starship away from the NCT base first, knowing that would be a massive help to them. it was the least she could do.
mark's eyes flickered to taeyongs, his grip on the gun wavering "what do we do?"
"nothing" the voice caused all the members to stop their chase, their heads swivelling around to look at taeyongs dark expression. all of them watched starship disappear behind the library walls, all of them dashing to find hyejin.
moments after, a ding of the elevator rung, a blonde clambering off the metal machine.
"where is she?" he glanced at all the members frozen in place, except taeyongs, his eyes were forever stuck onto the wall they had last appeared next to
chenles gaze shifted to taeyongs, all the members shuffling awkwardly in their stance.
"taeyong" it sounded like he was holding everything back
"she's not one of us" taeyongs eyes stuck onto chenle's, his glance fierce with intention
"where is she" he advanced taeyong, his hand grasping around the red heads shoulder, shaking him violently "where is she!?"
"let's go back" he shook chenle's hand off and gestured for the rest to follow him.
"the elevators broken" chenle's said lowly, his voice dropping to a terrifying tone "i ran up the stairs"
no one said a word, and he could only hear the faint diminishing footsteps scrambling down the million flights of stairs
chenle squeezed his eyes shut, the anger now all flying out in dangerous thrashes. without even thinking, his fist flew towards the wall, the unrecognisable pain courses through his fist. he kept his knuckles against the wall, his hand unrolling from the ball so that his palm was pressed against it instead. he dropped to his knees, and let his hair cover the rest of his face
"she'll be alright, she's strong" that was the most encouraging words he could say to himself. he wasn't ready to lose something he had loved, once again.
suddenly a voice rang from the stairs, catching chenles attention
"guys" it was tens voice "where's winwin?"
