chapter 10: What Alpha says Goes

Colby's POV

A/N: Bet you weren't expecting that were ya? 😏

As much as I wanted to go back to the pack we couldn't; at least until the treaty was established, but until that point we have to keep moving. I was pulled out of my thoughts when Sitara suddenly leapt to her feet and took off running

"Not again!" I groaned as we got up and followed after her

By this point we didn't even try and call her or tell her to stop but the more we ran the more I started to realize where she was going, I shook my head trying to keep my mind from wandering back to that horrible day.

She stopped out of nowhere and just sat completely dazed glancing around the area, I paused doing the same then completely snapped and before I could even say a word Axel had taken total control. Pushing me to the back of my mind...

Zeref's POV:

'ENOUGH!' I snarled through mindlink shifting in mid air as I took control, pouncing on Snow and pinning her to the ground she yipped in fear then growled and squirmed trying to wriggle free but I just pushed her down and latched onto the scruff of her neck just enough to keep her from squirming but not puncture her skin

She whimpered but sat completely still crouched on her belly on the ground, the wind picked up ruffling our fur and I saw for a split second her eyes glazed over as she sniffed the air; she jumped up to run off again throwing me off of her suddenly, I growled at her warningly to stay put.

She snapped at me unexpectedly and spun around ready to take off but I immediately jumped in front of her blocking her path; she snapped at me once more this time lunging at me but  before she had a chance to attack I jumped over her grabbing her by the scruff of the neck as I did and slammed her to the ground on her back pinning her to the ground for a second time, my paw on her throat and my teeth bared aggressively 'Stand down now!' I ordered in my alpha tone of voice

"ZEREF! THAT'S ENOUGH!!" Sam yelled

I kept her pinned to the ground for a bit longer then finally let her up she huffed but stayed put waiting for me to tell her she could get back up, her neck fully exposed as a sign of submission, my eyes flashed from electric blue to ocean blue as I nodded in approval; she immediately flipped around and got to her feet shaking out her fur slightly before trying to rub up against my side affectionately.

I growled warningly at her and she huffed yet again in a more sad tone and turned away from me and walked back over to Sam expectantly; he glanced over at me then gave Sitara a soft pat on the head

"Hey wait, this-- isn't this area part of.." Jake began

"Part of what?" Aspen interjected

"We're in Lacuna territory." Sam stated

"Oh great whose territory did we just stumble into this time?" Ainsley asked in annoyance

"Tiegan's old pack used to own this land; before-" Jake started to explain

'STOP! Don't you dare say another word!' I order baring my teeth in a dissuading manner

Jake fell silent not willing to disobey a direct order but Ainsley wasn't giving in that easily "Will someone please tell us what the hell is going on?!"

"Ainse please just drop it." Jake pleaded

"No! I'm sick and tired of you guys hiding shit!" She snapped rounding on Jake angrily a dark bluish violet aura manifesting around her

"Don't you pin this on me!" Jake snapped back as flames sprouted from the palms of his hands once again his eyes turned a deep scarlet almost maroon color as his hair flashed from reddish orange to red as though it were actually on fire

Ainsley laughed menacingly "Your little fire tricks won't work on me Jake!" She taunted "Did you forget that I'm a witch?" She asked menacingly as black sparks of magic began to appear around the aura surrounding her

"Knock it off you two!" Aspen exclaimed stepping forward

"Stay out of this!" Ainsley growled glaring dangerously at her sister

Sitara barked aggressively and leapt forward to separate them then collapsed to the ground in complete unconsciousness.
