You Melt My Heart

Episode 26

Where am I? 

*Arissa slowly wakes up*

Why am I tied up? Who were those men? I looked around and I'm in a locked room. It's dirty and I'm on the floor.

*someone rattles the door knob*

Who is that person?

*the door opens*

I looked at the person who walked in the door. A big and buff guy tattooed every part of his body. 

"Who are you? What are you doing?"

*a woman followed in*

"You're awake now? How was your journey?"

I see the woman that came in.

"Charlotte? What are you doing here? Are you behind my kidnapping?" 

*Charlotte smiles*

"So what if I am? What are you going to do about it? I'm not the one tied up."

I struggled to get untied.

"Charlotte. What do you want? Why are you doing this to me?"

"You know what I want and you decided not to do it. I gave you a chance."

"Are you talking about breaking up with Zane? Can you come to senses? You were the one who left him! You left him and now you cannot just come back and try to steal him from me! You didn't love him, did you?"

*Charlotte grabs Arissa's hair*

"You don't know what you're talking about! I didn't leave him because I didn't love him!"

*Charlotte lets go of Arissa's hair and tears up*

"I had no choice but to leave Zane. Before I was where I am now, I was much poorer than Zane. My mom had me meet with my husband because he had money and could help out my family. If I had a choice, I would never have married my husband. I loved Zane so much. Knowing Zane, I thought that no matter how long it will be, he will not have a girlfriend because he was waiting for me. I was wrong but I'm not going to let that stand by. If you break up with him now, I will let you go and forget all that happened. If you don't, don't blame me for what's going to happen."

What do I do? I can't break up with Zane but I need to find a way to get out.

*someone walks in the door*

"Qiqi."

Zane? It's Zane! It's really him! He's come to save me!

"Zane! Help me! Untie me!"

*Zane crouches down to meet Arissa's eyes"

"Help you? Why would I do that?"

*Zane stands up and walks towards Charlotte*

My face dropped. Why is he acting like this? Zane must be faking it to help me. He must be.

"Qiqi. Do you know why I wanted you to be my girlfriend in the first place? You reminded me so much of Charlotte. I didn't want to associate with you in the first place but when I realized that you were so similar to Charlotte, I couldn't help get Charlotte out of my head. When I looked at you, all I could see was Charlotte in your eyes."

*Arissa tears up*

"You're lying. You're lying to me! I love you Zane! I do! I don't know when but I love you!"

"Qiqi! Wake up! Did you really think that I was into you? Compared to Charlotte you are just average. Love me? You don't even love your mom so how can you love me?"

*Arissa cries*

"It doesn't matter. We're in a contract relationship and you can't break up with me until..."

*Zane interrupts by laughing*

"Qiqi. It never says that I can't break up with you. You can't break up with me but I can break up with you. You clearly didn't read the conditions."

*Zane takes out the contract and hands it to Arissa*

This can't be happening. I looked at the conditions and it does say that I can't break up with Zane but it doesn't say that Zane can't break up with me. 

*Zane unties Arissa and throws the rope away*

"Qiqi, now that we're not in a relationship anymore, I guess my step-brother is just as good as me."

*Arissa walks up to Zane and slaps him harder than when they were in Liam's apartment*

"Liam isn't as good as you. He's better than you! I don't know why you're acting like this to me but if this is your way of helping me, then don't help at all." 

*Charlotte laughs*

"Now that you guys are not in a relationship anymore, you can simply leave now. Leave us alone so Zane and I can have our private time like the past."

*Charlotte grabs Zane seductively*

I watched the two gang up against me and I didn't know what to do. I can't think of what to say. All I can do now is just cry. I wanted to say so many things but they just won't come out of my mouth.

*Zane turns his back to Arissa and hugs and kisses Charlotte*

"Qiqi. Leave us!"

I did as told. I couldn't stay there any longer. If I did, I would've just cried even more. This isn't the Zane I know. He must be lying. But what if he isn't as well? I ran out of the rundown facility and tried running home. I didn't have my phone or anything on me so I was unable to call anyone. I cried more than when my dad had left me. 

*Arissa reaches home*

*mom, grandpa, and Adam were waiting at the door*

I walked home with my faced dried from tears. 

"Ari! Where have you been? We were so worried about you. What happened?"

I couldn't even talk. I still can't get what happened at the facility out of my head. 

*Arissa walks to her room not acknowledging her family*

*grandpa follows Arissa but is held back from mom*

I looked at my room and I took out the ribbons that were from Zane. I cried even more. I couldn't take it anymore! I cried in my pillow for the longest time, I didn't even know when I fell asleep.
