The next day things took a bit of an interesting turn. The four males showed up on set but they looked different than usual.
Jaehyun's hair was disheveled and he clearly hasn't used concealer to cover up his dark eyebags which were a bit ironic since he actually slept really well last night. He was also wearing the same shirt from the night before, which Johnny hadn't failed to notice despite the younger's numerous attempts at somehow styling the clothing differently so that it was unrecognizable.
Taeyong on the other hand didn't even try to hide how inappropriate his outfit was for a film set. He had some fairly loose sweatpants on and a matching hoodie which literally hung on his small frame. He seemed unbothered about the fact some people present on the set eyed him carefully, some disgusted and some completely confused.
Ten was dressed similarly to Taeyong, only difference being the color of their outfit. The older's color of the day was gray but for Ten it was black with white accents, which he thought matched his hair well. His hair was at least combed but it didn't make up for the fact his sweats were a few sizes too big as they were Johnny's and not his. So much for a good first impression.
Then there was Johnny, who looked the cleanest of them all. He was dressed in a simple black shirt and black pants, so kind of similar to the night before, but unlike Jaehyun he actually changed his clothes. His hair was styled neatly at first but due to the amount of times he ran his hand through it, it also sort of became a mess.
"Alright, everyone! We're going to be shooting our beginning scenes today. Please say welcome to our newest help, Ten Lee." Jaehyun began his little speech and waited for everyone to stop clapping for the dancer. Only then did he continue. "We're in need of natural sunlight in the dance studio we rented. Thank god it had windows." He added, muttering the last sentence under his breath."
"Mr.Jung?" A small girl came up to the director, the script in hand. "It says here that I'm supposed to dance to a song in this scene. It will be difficult to do when we don't even have the song ready... Mr. Lee hasn't contacted any of us."
Johnny looked at Jaehyun with a surprised expression on his face, giggling right after. "So much for hiring a child as your main music producer." he said sort of mockingly, causing something to snap inside of the other male, but he hid it with a soft sigh.
"Don't worry, Eunbi. I'll phone him in a second to find out where he is." He smiled sweetly and even took out his phone as a confirmation for his words. He then quickly excused himself so he could phone Mark and ask him where the fuck he was with their soundtrack.
"Jaehyun seems stressed." Ten commented, causing Johnny to suddenly burst out laughing. "What?" He asked in an offended tone but changed it once the older put a hand on his shoulder.
"Jaehyun is more than stressed but that is what happens when you rely on a guy who graduated high school not too long ago." Johnny shrugged and walked to eavesdrop his friend's conversation with Mark, hoping that he'll hear something interesting like one of them being cursed at.
"I'm sorry for being late!"
Everyone turned to the entrance of the studio and saw the always late Mark Lee. Behind him was another boy, whose hair probably attracted the most attention. It was brown with purple ends which was an odd choice to Johnny but he kept silent.
Mark quickly came up to Jaehyun and handed him a cd with the word "soundtrack" written on it in gold sharpie.
"I'm sorry as well, it was my fault that he was late." The odd-hair boy suddenly appeared next to Mark and bowed slightly as the sign of being sorry.
"Mark, why are you bringing w stranger on set?" Jaehyun carefully asked, eyeing the boy from head to toe. He seemed sweet but they could never know if he was a spy from another director or something like that. It was maybe a stretch but it was never impossible.
"I'm sorry, he just wanted to personally apologize for making you wait for me." Mark smiled awkwardly and that smile alone made the director just drop the matter since he didn't want to waste anymore time.
"Alright, team! Let's begin!"
The filming was a tedious process that took numerous hours, outfits and on-set dance lessons from Ten, who just felt the need to make some changes to the choreography whenever he felt like it didn't fit the melody. He did it with the help of the creator of the dance who was also present so that nobody would complain later that he has endless power or something like that.
Whenever Johnny would fix someone's outfit or prepare their new one, he'd glance at Ten every once in a while, smiling like a child whenever he saw him deeply focused on whatever discussion he was having.
It seemed like every puzzle began falling into it's own place again.
"Hey, Ten. Mind going on a walk right now?" Asked Johnny as soon as they exited the building in which the filming took place. He wanted to make sure no one heard his words besides the dancer as that would just embarrass him and he obviously didn't want that.
"Sure, I don't see anything that's stopping us." Ten replied with a slight shrug though in reality a simple walk meant much more to him than Johnny could've imagined. It was nearly as special as the moment they became friends, where the older also subtly suggested that they should spend more time together because they could probably be great friends.
Ten tried not to think of those days while he was walking alongside Johnny through the bustling streets of LA but it seemed nearly impossible to just get them out of his mind. His heart stayed in Chicago with the Suh family for years even if they didn't know it and readjusting it to come here was't exactly a difficult thing to do.
But at some point Ten just knew that wherever Johnny was, that's where his heart would be as well.

A bit of a shorter chapter but it's ok?? I accidentally wrote the beginning as a continuation of the previous chapter so I had to continue a bit 😂 I hope you still like it!
