Once upon a time there were 2 siblings: Jellal, and Juvia. They were children of the of the king and queen of Fiore. The king's head knight, Rung Belersion, had a daughter named Erza. Jellal and Erza were best friends.

When I say best friends I mean, they can't LIVE without each other.

Sadly, what Jellal didn't know, was that Rung was a very abusive father. He beat her and hurt het severely. Mentaly and physically.

He used to say that he was ashamed of having a daughter. That girls were weak. That she was good for nothing. That girls were only meant for reproducing.

Erza wanted to prove him wrong.

One day, Rung practically, almost gouged out her eye.

That was the last straw.

She ran away.

Jellal was heartbroken. Erza was his first and only friend.

Erza ran away when they were only 7 years old.

Juvia was 2 years younger than Jellal. Their mother died giving birth to her. Her mother wanted her daughter to be very beautiful, inside and out.

Juvia was the most beautiful girl you have ever seen. Her beauty only grew as she got older. The king gave her anything she wanted, but she never really wanted anything. She was happy with what she had.

One day the king went to the city to find a new wife to remarry. Mesmerized by her beauty, he took a woman named Ikaruga back to the palace.

"Children, this will be your stepmother," the king announced. The children weren't too happy that their father remarried, but they had to show respect to their stepmother.

"Nice to meet you stepmother," Jellal said. He nudged Juvia to do the same. She curtsied and said, "I hope we can get along."

Ikagura smiled. "I'm sure we will."

A few weeks later, Juvia concluded that her stepmother wasn't such a bad person. She was in her room playing, when there was a knock on her door.

"Come in." she called.

Her father let himself in the room, and took a seat next to her on her bed.

"I have something for you," he said. Juvia tilted her head to the side and said, "But I don't want anything, Father,"

He ignored her comment and took a locket out of his pocket.

"This," he said, "was your mother's."

Juvia gasped and took the locket and turned it around and around in her palm. "It's beautiful," she breathed.

"It now belongs to you," the king said putting it around her neck. "Thank you Father!" Juvia said throwing her arms around him. "I will treasure it for the rest of my life!"

A servant just HAD to interrupt their moment.

"I apologize my king," the servant said, "but there has been a disturbance in the forest."

"What happened?"

"There were two dead bodies found there," the servant replied. "The townspeople are convinced a beast is attacking them."

"I will ride to the forest tomorrow afternoon."

And he did.

But he never came back.

Juvia was 7. Jellal was 9.

That took longer than I thought! I think I'm going to have a part two of the prologue. I didn't want to have such a long chapter. Tell me in the comments if you liked it or not. This is my first story, so please no rude comments!

This story is going to mostly have the JeRza ship in it. I want to make it action packed and there to be epic battle scenes, but there will be romance. If you don't like bloody battle scenes I'll make an announcement before I begin it.

I decided to make Juvia and Jellal's last name Fernandes. IF Juvia gets married her name will change anyway. Plus, "Jellal Lockser" just doesn't sound right.

Thank you!
