It's already past midnight but I couldn't still sleep. I keep on fidgeting over my bed, nervous and scared at the same time. A news that there's a murderer roaming around every night keep me wide awake. Coincidentally, those people who were murdered were all my friends and they are Jisung, Chenle and Haechan. Truth to be told, my heart and mind couldn't still process what happened to them. They were murdered with the same process. Maybe, there's really just one culprit but no one knows who he or she is.
To make my heart at ease, I decided to go downstairs and close all the doors and windows I have in my small house. With final and closer look, I closed my last window. I was about to go back to my room when my phone suddenly rang.
Oh, it's my mom.
"Yes, mom?" I asked curiously. Mom doesn't usually call me at this hour. So, this was her first time.
"I just wanna make sure you're safe.." She weakly uttered over the phone and I can feel how worried she is to me.
"I am safe, Mom. There's nothing to worry about." I said with a reassuring smile, as if she could see me.
"Oh, I'm glad to know. Just call me right away if there's something wrong. Okay?"
"Sure." I said and finally ended up the call.
Sure, this news about the murderer is really scary but I wouldn't be a victim, right? I mean, there's no reason to kill me.
I stopped ascending in the stairs when I heard a loud knock on my door. Who could this be? I checked the time on my phone and it's already 12:44am.
I couldn't help but to feel scared.
"Who is it?" I nervously asked but no one answered. This just made me more nervous as I was earlier.
"Jeno?" Surprisingly, Jeno is in front of my door, wearing all black. He is kinda wet due to the rain earlier but at least, my heart is now at ease knowing that the person in front of my door is not the killer but my bestfriend, Jeno.
"Hi." He uttered. I gave him a smile and let him inside my house.
"What brought you here?" I asked curiously. Jeno is always visiting my house, nearly everyday but just like my mom, this is the first time he visited me at the this hour.
"I just want to be with you.." He said as he wrapped his arms around me and plant some kisses on my neck. I couldn't help but to moan lightly but really tried my best to control myself.
"You're wet. Should you at least change your clothes?"
Jeno has finished changing his clothes and we are right now on my bed, cuddling to each other. Don't get me wrong when I said that Jeno is my bestfriend because he really is. It is just that.. Jeno likes me but I don't. I really treasure our friendship so, I just let him do whatever he wants to do with me. I don't care anyway since I don't have a boyfriend on my own.
Jeno has wrapped his arms around my waist while my right hand is at the back of his head, while the other is hugging his waist also. He started kissing my neck slowly.. Enough to make me feel something I should not have right at this moment.
While he is busy kissing my neck and planting some hickeys, I tried to open a topic.
"Renjun will be back tomorrow. What should I give to him?" Jeno stopped kissing me and looked at me with his piercing gaze. Within just a second, I feel so small in front of him.
"I'm right here beside you but you have the audacity to talk about other men?" I immediately shooked my head knowing where this is gonna end.
This is just really the downfall of our friendship.
