"Tequila with no lime?"
Dinah looks up at that, finding a dark skinned woman beside her. She licks her lips, watching as she slides onto the empty barstool beside her. The tight, bright red shorts around her thighs making her skin and thighs look so much more alluring. Dinah had to admit, the way the woman's curls framed her face and the way the gloss on her lips made them shimmer under the faint lighting in the bar made her realize just how drunk she was. Her whole body felt ablaze.
"That bad of a day?"
That broke Dinah from her trance. She furrowed her brows slightly, trying to form a sentence in her mess of a mind. Whoever this woman was, she was making it hard for Dinah to think ... as if the alcohol wasn't effecting that enough. She cleared her throat with a slow shake of her head as she looked down at the shot of tequila in front of her.
"I went ... easy on myself." Dinah says, shrugging a shoulder. She looked at the four empty shot glasses in front of her. "Let's just say," She says, glancing at the woman as she picks up her fifth shot. "I plan on waking up covered in my own vomit, on a random street, with no memory of what the hell I did."
The woman's eyebrows raise at that, watching as Dinah downs her shot, hissing as her face scrunches up at the burning down her throat. She hiccups and puts her fifth shot glass in the row with her other empty ones. The woman can't help but smile as she looks over Dinah's figure, watching as she burps drunkenly with her fist in front of her mouth. She had only had a single cocktail, so she knows that she doesn't need to be drunk to find this strange woman beautiful.
"I thought you said you were going easy on yourself."
"I am," Dinah says with furrowed brows. "I'm taking it slow."
The woman chuckles at that, shaking her head as Dinah orders another shot. She decides to order one as well, which catches Dinah by surprise. The darker one of the two, raises a brow, getting comfortable on the stool when she finds Dinah staring at her with a confused expression.
"Weren't you just judging me for not having lime?" She asks, her speech slurred just the slightest.
"I don't judge." She says, nodding as a thanks to the bartender as he gives the women their shots. "I'm Normani," She says, extending her hand to the drunken brunette. Dinah shakes it slowly, nodding with a soft hiccup. "And you are?"
"Dinah Jane."
"Well, Dinah Jane," Normani starts, picking up her neat shot. "Cheers?"
"For what?" Dinah asks, but nonetheless, picks up her shot as well.
"I don't know." Normani shrugged. "Come up with something."
"Cheers," Dinah says, frowning in thought as she held up her shot. "To the start of a fucked up while."
Normani couldn't help the sad smile that appeared on her lips, but she nodded anyways, gently clinking her shot glass against Dinah's. "Cheers."
They both downed their shots, Normani taking a longer time to recover than Dinah. Normani coughed a bit, patting her hand against her chest as she set the glass back down. Dinah only smiled, putting her sixth shot in her row of empty glasses. Her drunken self felt slightly accomplished at the line that was forming.
"Man, I need another one." Dinah says, keeping herself balanced by holding onto the counter. "You want another?"
Normani was still trying to collect herself from the first one, but she nodded anyways. "Why the fuck not?"
They only had two more shots before Normani had to call it quits. She had no idea how Dinah was still standing, but goddamn can she drink. Dinah couldn't suppress the woozy smile that she was sending Normani. It didn't go unnoticed, that's for sure. Normani sipped on her White Claw as she stared back at her, deciding that she'd drink something light for the rest of the night.
