The cafe itself was small but slightly run down. Many people filled the room giving it a warm feeling which contrasted most places in Musutafu. A young girl with bight brown hair as well as the same color eyes that seemingly sparked as she walked into the cafe that doted around searching for someone. Then she say him. Unlike ever other person there he seemed... different he wore baggy sweets along side a torn jacket all of which were black witch seemed to consume all the life out of the room itself. His hair and eyes were light green witch completely contrasted every thing else he wore. She found him here every day always sitting alone watching the tv on the wall sometimes murmuring something under his breath. She didn't stair at him for long as she walk to the line.
When she finished ordering she found that he was still sitting alone. She felt slightly sad to always seeing him like that. It somehow reminds her of middle school when she didn't have much friends, always sitting alone just as he was, so today she decided something she usually din't do. She walk over clearly nervous, anxious even. She never felt anxious not like this, no the feelings, the feelings...was fear she was scared completely terrified. There was no reason she should be. He's just a teenager the same age as her why was she feeling this...pressure it was almost suffocating consuming all her enthusiasm...Then she stood across from him almost instantaneously as if time has speed up but at the same time slowed down to a near stop. he still stared at the screen of the news of the previous day.
"Ummm....do you mind if I sit next to you" she stammered hoping he would agree as the cafe left no seats open making for a wonderful excuse. He fell out of his daze of whispering to himself incoherently to look up at her. ״Sure I don't mind״ he said with a slight smile that caught her off guard seeing as he usually had a emotionless and empty look on his face when ever she saw him. They stayed in an awkward silence for a minute until she spoke out.
"So...why are you always here" she asked nervously knowing he may not want to talk.
"Well I just like the people they always seem so nice and comforting even though they don't even know you, it still feels like there on your side" letting out a small chuckle at the end. Then he asked "what about you."
"I uhhh like there coffee" she answered nervously give a chuckle of her own.
"Oh yeah of course" he said keeping the smile on his face.
He continued "how's UA going"
She was completely surprised that he knew she went to UA sense this was only the first time they met. "How did you know I went to UA."
"Oh because you were on the sports festival remember." he stated.
"Oh I completely forgot about that. I'd say it's going pretty good."
"Even after one of your friends got captured by the League." He lost part of his smile after saying that but went on to say "oh sorry I don't mean to intrude in your life or anything like that I just usually say stuff without thinking sometimes." Once again letting out a nervous chuckle.
"Oh no it's alright... it's been hard for us... everyone really on edge...we didn't even know if he was dead or alive when he was kidnapped..." she said staring at the dark oak wood table.
"I'm sorry...no one should go through that kind of fear" sharing the same expression while clearly holding guilt in his voice.
"Oh no it's not your fault you couldn't have changed anything." She said quickly as she was slightly embarrassed from his honesty.
He then looked up and gave a conferring smile. "Don't worry, everything will get better in the end, if things won't get better then it's not over that's what my mother always said"
"Oh she seems nice" she said sharing his same smile.
They talked for a bit longer before she noticed she was late for a meet up with a few friends at the mall and as soon as she left he did. He walked across the streets witch were slowly losing people until they were completely barren. Then the young boy reached a rundown apartment complex, staring at it before walking in. He then opened a door into a room on the second floor to find a middle aged man sharping knifes on the floor.
"Hey old man how have you been" said the green haired boy said.
"Has anyone ever told you to respect your elders" said the strange man.
"So your admitting to being old" he said
"I'm still young enough to beat your ass" the 'old man' said before they both gave a slight chuckle.
"So why where you out so late" the he said still sharpening his knifes.
"I meet someone and we ended up talking" the teen said with slight hesitation in his word because he didn't really know how he would react to him meeting new people sense he didn't really like the idea of him talking to anyone in the league.
"Oh was it a girl" he said giving a slight smile as the young teen started train by giving a few kicks to the nearly demolished punching bag.
"Yeah but that doesn't mean anything" he said a little flustered.
"Heh I bet you like her. Can't wait to see your wedding" he said mockingly, finally looking up from his knifes.
"Can't wait to see your death bed" the boy said under his breath.
"Ah no girl would want to hang around someone with that attitude." He said with a slight chuckle.
"You know I'm only want one thing to be a true hero that will help everyone no matter what." The green haired teen said giving a genuine warm smile.
'Always trying to do the best I see. Well you always were like that. I really am proud of you' the man thought to himself.
They talked for a for a few more hours before they had dinner after which both of them head out of the apartment and went there separate ways.
