To separate is to die a little

Prologue

"I thought my forever was with you. The day you said yes to me was one of the best days of my life. 

Before I met you I didn't know what life was all about. The days just passed by and I just wanted to find my call in life. What do I want to do? What are my ambitions in life? Where do I wanna end up? WHO do I wanna end up with? And most importantly, who am I?  

Those were the thoughts that crossed my mind almost all day, everyday. That was of course until I met you, the love of my life. Or at least so I thought. 

That day you ran into me in the corridors of our school, that was the beginning of something new. I knew from the very first moment I saw you that you were going to be someone very special to me, that you would come to mean very much to me. And boy was I right. It didn't take long before you had me wrapped around your little finger. I would do just about anything for you. As long as you were happy, I was happy. 

You helped me find myself, my call in life, you taught me what love is really all about and for that I am enterally grateful. You brought a whole other meaning to my life and the light that I had so badly sought after, I found. Because the light to my life was you. 

I just wished that it would all end differently. I thought you were my forever, I thought we would grow old together and then die in the comfort of each others arms.

What happened to our happily ever after?
