Hetalia One Shots {Country x Country}

"Come on Iggy!- just a little bit further!" Alfred called out, dragging his lover through a thick bushel of tall wheat stalks.

"I'm right here Alfred....." Arthur mumbled, glancing behind them quickly. The day was beautiful- a few blue spots were seen among a mass of pure white clouds.

"Here we are....." Alfred turned around and grinned, his blonde hair golden in the bright sun as the clouds spread out.

Arthur gazed at the vast area before him, a few trees were scattered about, the grass was a gorgeous shade of green, and a small lake was to the far right, lily pads floating around aimlessly; purple and white flowers sitting on top of them.

"I used to come here with Mattie when we were kids...." Alfred said, looking around and putting his hands on his hips as he remembered his childhood- he wasn't that old, only about 20- he still acted like a child nonetheless.

"It's very pretty here Alfred......this has to be the best date you've taken me on yet....." Arthur remarked with a tiny nod.

The last time Alfred had taken him on a date, they had gotten stuck in the rain, and his car broke down.

"Heh, yeah I figured you'd like this....." Alfred chuckled "it's really hot out though....." he took Arthur's hand once more, leading him to the closest tree.

The branches were low, and the wood was smooth and a dark off gray color.

The roots twisted in awkward angles, sticking out of the ground, making them perfect to sit on.

Arthur slowly sat down on a large root, gazing at the glimmering lake water "so Alfred......" he sighed softly, feeling very relaxed for once.

"Sorry all of our other dates kinda sucked......I hope this makes up for it...." Alfred held out a tiny black box out to Arthur, a hopeful look on his flawless face.

Arthur turned to face Alfred and arched a thick eyebrow before taking the box from his lovers hand; almost hesitantly

Arthur was a bit taken aback when he opened it.

A charm bracelet with all sorts of cute charms. A small wizard wand, tea cup, a British flag, a miniature version of Big Ben and finally a stalk of wheat.

"The wheat one is new- I bought it before we came here......" Alfred said with a hint of sheepishness in his tone

"This is.....beautiful,Alfred....thank you" he dipped his head in a respectful manner, slipping on the bracelet

"This could be our special place you know....." Alfred suddenly said after an odd moment of silence

"Hm?"

Alfred took his small pocket knife out, and Arthur watched as he made a carving in the tree, a tiny smile forming on his face
