"Do you believe in multiple lifetimes?"

"What?"

It was another night. And no matter how often they did this, nobody refused to it. Gazing at the sky, day or night, no matter the weather. It was often like this.

"Multiple lifetimes, when a soul is allowed to be reborn to live a different life after dying."

Baekhyun always did it, and he may not know, but as Seju spent more and more time with him, the latter picked up the habit unconsciously. Modernity was put to shame. Baekhyun didn't like drowning over gadgets, or any sort of technology like most of people. It was the sky he always stared at.

"You mean like reincarnation?"

Unknown to Baekhyun, Seju observe. And the younger sometimes get confused. Baekhyun don't stare above like he adored what's in it. His eyes always looked different whenever he look at the sky. Like he was questioning it.

His eyes look like it's lost. Lonely, and very very lost.

This time, Baekhyun turned his eyes somewhere else as he went back the kitchen. He was actually making himself some tea at midnight, but then Seju came and joined him as he got distracted at the moon.

"Yes. Like reincarnation."

"I don't know. You think it's possible?"

Baekhyun could only laugh internally. Reincarnation wasn't just possible. It was happening. Has been happening. Oh, how tempted Baekhyun was to tell Seju he has been reborn several times. And he was there to witness all of it.

But something inside Baekhyun's mind tell him he shouldn't. At least, that was one thing he knew.

Seju decided to open a topic when Baekhyun didn't reply. "I gotta admit something, Baek."

Baekhyun almost jumped at his feet. His tea was done, waiting at the dining table. Then Seju called Baekhyun with the nickname Chanyeol used to call him. Hilarious.

"What is it?"

"I came out my room because I saw your shadow below my door. I followed you here. I've been wanting to talk to you. And.. I feel like this could be the right moment for that. It's been bugging me for days, honestly."

Baekhyun chuckled. Seju looked uncomfortable. "Oh, come on. Just ask me."

"It's just that.. I've been worried about you. You looked more burdened these days. You know you can tell me anything, right? I mean, I'm not forcing you to but..."

"I know that, Seju. Thank you."

Seju sighed. He wasn't contented with Baekhyun just knowing. They see each other everyday. He could not just ignore the situation like that.

"What I want to say is, if telling me more can help, I'll be your listening ear."

Baekhyun couldn't answer sooner. He was stunned by the other's passion to help him. What he meant was, it wasn't like they were very, very close for this sincerity to happen. Baekhyun just suddenly showed up, right? He just suddenly showed up and altered Seju's reality. The older understood Seju's anger when he was cold to him the first few days, but it has been almost three months and Seju had done nothing but help him. Reach out to him. Baekhyun couldn't even remember what he has done for Seju the all this time.
