"O-ow.."

Mikoto winced as she laid on the bed in the stolen private jet. Touma had somehow managed to put the plane into autopilot.. which was incredible.. what was especially incredible was the fact that he'd actually managed to get the plane into the air in the first place.

Natsu was snoring away in one of the plane's seats, apparently sleeping off his injuries, which was incredible in itself. With a stubborn Dragon Slayer and a crazy boyfriend.. Mikoto was amazed that niether of them had gotten an eye shot out yet... and yet, Mikoto was the one getting her ribs broken, her limbs blown off and her face pounded... Mikoto still remembered when Touma was the one on the bussiness end of major beatings and always ending up in the hospital.. Mikoto had it slightly easier thanks to how it used to be that she could come to Wendy after every job. Now that the entire Multiverse had been recreated to hate Mikoto though, that option, including the hospital, was out the window.

As Mikoto lay on the bed, her eyes closed shut in pain. Touma came in carrying a First Aid kit he found somewhere in the plane.

"You know.. " said Mikoto. "I think my ribs hate me.. they're always the first to break."

"Well, according to something I read online, ribs become easier to break after they're broken the first time." said Touma.

"Not with dragons." Mikoto said. "Gravix told me before he died that Dragon Born's have bones that strengthen after breaking each time as a defense mechanism.. my bones are supposed to be pretty durable considering all the punishment I've ever taken..."

"Well, there's a limit to everything.." said Touma with a shrug. "Maybe your bones got as durable as they were ever going to get.. and you're now fighting a class of enemies that are.. er.."

"Very good at breaking bones?" Mikoto smiled as she finished Touma's sentence for him. "Yeah.. my inner hollow was right.. in battle.. there's always going to be stronger enemy to turn up in the place of the one you defeated..you know, I actually really hate that.."

Touma ruffled Mikoto's hair. "Well, the only thing I've got for broken ribs right now is pain killers. You're a fast healer, a few days of rest and you'll be jumping around in no time, wish I had that kind of healing.."

"Don't give me that, I still remembered when you saved me from the first time I went Level 6.. and your entire arm regrew.."

"Yeah, still not sure how that even happened.." Touma said. "Anyways.. you're pretty beat up, I should probably put your wrist in a splint.. hold on.."

After Touma managed to fix up Mikoto's wrist with a splint. (Man that plane had a lot of medical supplies.) and given Mikoto some pain killers, Mikoto finally felt almost comfortable..

"Touma... where is this plane going?"

"Well.. I put it on autopilot somehow.. but I'm not exactly sure where we should go." said Touma. "And to be honest, I learned what I know about flyinig from an online simulator Gray got me for Christmas.. along with that copy of Outlast..."

"Never.. play that game again.." Mikoto muttered. "Disturbing..."

"No kidding." Touma said with a shiver. "But.. er.. there's kind of a problem.."

"You don't know how to land this flying hunk of metal.. do you?"

"Nope.."

Mikoto sighed. "Don't worry, I'll just hack the plane's systems.. "

"Where would I be without you?" said Touma

"Don't know." said Mikoto. "But I'm glad you've got me.."
