So basically this is a supernatural fic I'm writing, kinda based on misfits (tv programme), and yeah I thought I'd post it. Let me know what you think! x - Georgia

'...coming in from all over the country. Experts believe that this is one of the biggest storms the UK has ever seen in the last 50 years...'

"Could you please turn that off? It's doing my head in."

'...killing three people and rendering many more homeless...'

Holly squints through the windscreen into the pitch black; struggling to make much sense of the torrential rain. "Was that a turning I just missed?" She says, pressing the windscreen wiper button again. Mimi turns in her seat, peering behind her. "I think it was."

"Please can we just turn the radio off?" Faith complains loudly.

"Should we turn round?"

'...for help, multiple charities have been set up...'

"We can't turn round. This is a one way road." Bailey points out, looking up from her phone, her long caramel coloured hair creating a curtain in front of her face.

"Well I was sure I saw turning back there!"

"Is anyone listening to me? Turn it off!"

Yawning, Mimi picks up the discarded map from the car floor. "So which road are we on then?"

'...citizens have been advised to stay indoors...'

Faith swears and unbuckles her seat belt, leaning over the seats to turn it off. She doesn't make it though, because Bailey says something about safety - and is she trying to get us all killed? - before pushing her away from the radio.

"Bailey, can you read the map?"

"Get off!"

"No, sit down!"

"I thought I was reading it!"

"Yes but it was you who got us lost in the first place Mimi!" Holly says as she swerves to avoid a dead fox at last minute. All four of the girls are thrown sharply to the right, and Faith, having taken her seat belt off to change the radio, falls on top of Mimi. "Ow!" She cries.

'...risky to drive in the red zones...'

"Can't - breathe!" Mimi gasps dramatically from underneath the brunette girl, who swears and leans over to try and turn that damn radio off. Unfortunately, Holly has other ideas as she swerves again, to the left this time and Faith ends up face planting the seat, an unsuspecting Mimi sprawled out on top, complaining loudly.

"There was nothing there that time Holly!" Bailey cries, unbuckling her own seat belt to try and retrieve her phone from where it slipped out of her hands.

"There was a sheep in the road!" Holly protests.

"There was not a fucking sheep in the road!" She says, sticking her hand down the back of the seat.

"Mimi, get the fuck off me!"

"I can't, my foot's tangled in your seat belt!"

"Bailey, that's my phone, not yours."

"Guys, put your seat belts back on!" Holly yells over everyone.

Bailey twists in her seat, arm down the seat up to her shoulder now, reaching around for her phone blindly. "Where the fuck has it gone?"

"Hey, I think I found your phone Bailey!" Mimi cries suddenly, falling off Faith's back and onto the floor of the car, shoved behind the front seat. Faith heaves a sigh of relief and gets up, stretching her back and feeling it click a little. "Really?" Bailey gets up onto her knees on her seat, hanging over the back of it. "Yeah!" Mimi proceeds to shove her face actually under the seat, straining desperately to reach it.

"Guys! That's so dangerous!" Holly cries, still driving at an impossible speed down the dark and deserted road through the storm.

"Can we turn the radio off now?"

"Have you got it?"

'...already been around eleven car accidents in the area...'

"I can just.. about..."

"I'm hungry!" Faith yells suddenly.

"Bailey! Mimi! Get back in your seats!"

The sound of rain hammers against the car, all around, surrounding them.

"How do you turn this thing off?"

A screech.

"Got it!"

"SHIT!"

Holly desperately swerves to the right, and the car suddenly goes out of control. With flash of blinding white, they spin wildly into the back of black Range Rover. The car flips over, there's a sickening crunch, and then everything is silent apart from a radio, still blaring out.

'...and there's expected to be many more before the night ends...'

Faith wakes with a pounding head and white, white everywhere.

She groans and sits up, finding herself attached to machines and wire sticking out of her skin. She's in some sort of hospital ward, Holly and Mimi lying in identical beds beside her, and one empty one with rumpled bedsheets and wires hanging everywhere over in the corner. Bailey is nowhere to be seen.

"Mimi! Holly!" Faith hisses, feeling scared.

Holly stirs a little, moaning softly.

"Holly!"

"What?" Holly grumbles, opening her eyes before shutting them again quickly.

"What's going on?"

"How the fuck should I know?" She says, before grabbing her pillow and putting it on her face, ignoring Faith's questions. The brunette is just considering getting out of bed and shaking Mimi awake - she's already tried shouting at the sleeping girl multiple times - when Bailey walks in, wearing a dressing gown and carrying hot chocolate, followed suit by what Faith presumes to be a doctor, but looks way to young to be one.

"Faith!" Bailey says brightly.

"What the hell is going on?" Faith asks her, but Bailey only shrugs, seeming content with hot chocolate and fluffy slippers and hospital dressing gowns.

The boy doctor stares at them all quizzically, like he can't actually believe they're there, before shaking himself and putting a big file on the desk near the door. When he turns round, Faith makes a note of his appearance. Tall, with dark hair and a black earring. Mimi would like him, if she actually bothered to wake up.

"To cut a long story short," He begins, folding his arms and crossing his ankles over.

"You smashed into the car of five young males at 12:34 pm last night, were all struck by lightning, and technically should be dead."

Faith feels her mouth drop open.

"We killed them!" She cries hysterically. Bailey laughs, before clapping a hand over her mouth and turning bright red, realising the seriousness of the situation.

"No you didn't. In fact - " The boy-doctor stops and looks at a flashing black device on his wrist, swearing. "Sorry. I have to go." He says quickly, before disappearing.

Bailey and Faith turn to each other, mouths hanging a mile wide. An almost telepathic conversation goes on between them, and they end catching one another eyes and laughing, laughing so hard, because they nearly killed five people and it's not even funny, but they're laughing all the same.

And that's when Mimi begins to scream.
