A long, long time ago...
Once long ago there were two species, called humanimals. The two species were both animal and human. There was a wolf, strong and loyal, a leader to most. Then there was a fox, subtle and creative, a little shy, but strong at will. Both species could be either human or animal when chosen.
The wolves lived in packs with alpha as leader of them all. Wolves aren't scared of hard work and are naturally motivated. They are committed to their role in the pack no matter what it is. Wolves are loving and loyal. They often trust their instincts and don't favor head over heart or heart over head but have them work together.
The foxes lived in little villages, with no leader. Foxes love to play, they are very playful and creative. They're very smart and passionate. Foxes are very active and are challenged both mentally and physically. But overall perform well.
Over time the wolves and foxes grew apart, but no one fully knows why. The two species have their differences and now live separate lives. But they have more enemies than just each other. There are hunters out to get the humanimals for money. But the wolf humanimals are more valuable, there are tons of hunters who would love to get their hands on the alpha wolf. They are willing to be in the woods for hours just to get their hands on even one humanimal. But the humanimals haven't been captured for decades. So the thought of hunters rarely goes through the mind of a humanimal. Some even forgot that hunters existed.
