I was adjusting the money in the cash register. In the dim lights, the bells rung indicating someone came in.
The phone rung twice before I picked it up.
"Is this Madison?" A voice asked from the other end of the phone.
"Yes, it is!" I exclaimed in fake excitement.
"This is Thomas, Thomas Petrou, I'm Addison Easterling's manager, I was wondering if you would like to join The Hype House?" The voice known as Thomas asked.
"Um, can I call you back later, sorry I'm working?" I asked politely.
"Yeah sure, you can call me my number is +1 (xxx)-xxx-xxxx. Or email me at thomaspetrou@gmail.com." He said hanging up the call.
I got out my notebook and noted it.
"Hello." A very familiar voice said. I looked up and it was my dad.
"Hey dad, what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be in LA?" I asked confused. He never come visits me, it's either mom and Lucas or mom and Enzo. Addison, my twin sister, never had time for me.
She might act like a perfect angel in front of you but shes actually a rebellious demon in front of her family. Her close friends don't even know how she really acts.
"I came to tell you your moving to LA!" He said with a smile that I well know.
"But what about this job?" I asked. I love this place. This is basically the only place I can call home.
"Well" He said taking a deep breath, "Your not gonna need it, your gonna start tiktok." He said with a tone of worry. He knows I don't like tiktok at all.
"We'll talk more later, let me close up the place and I'll drop of the keys at Alice's house." I said continuing to adjust the money in the cash register.
He nodded and set up his phone somewhere making a tiktok. He danced to the song "savage".
I completed my last shift.
"Let's go dad." I said motioning for him to follow me.
"On it." He said standing up and following me. Every step he took made me even more upset about leaving.
We took his car and I told him where Alice's house is so I can drop the work keys.
We soon got to my apartment after dropping off the work keys and saying goodbye.
"So?" I asked as he shut the door and sat down sat down next to me.
"So Addison's fans have been saying they've seen someone really familiar to her in Orlando. We've decided to bring you to LA so you can go the same path we went through and we could be a successful family." He said looking down at the floor.
"So your telling me this is all for the fame?" I asked with no emotion at all.
"No!" He quickly said, "My attentions are not just for the fame but, we miss you Madison, we do." He said looking up at me.
"Did Addison change at all?"
"Yes, she has!" He said cheerfully, "So What are you going to choose?"
"I-... I hate tiktok and you know that, those people Addison work for are stuck ups." I said annoyed at the thought I had to see them.
"Look, I know, but it's for the better, please" He pleaded.
"Fine, I'll go, when's our trip back to LA?" I asked getting up.
"Tomorrow at 12 pm. I'll be staying at a fancy hotel, bye daughter." He said standing up hugging up.
"Bye dad, call me when your picking me up" He nodded and left. I changed into some pjs and close my eyes immediately falling asleep.
