(y/n) pov

"(y/n)," A voice sounded from the darkness, "(y/n)! Are you listening to me?" I opened my eyes and looked to the source. A black kitten sat on my chest, making it feel heavy, "Calcifer, what are you doing?" I asked with a huff. The sleek black kitten blinked his bright blue eyes and said nothing, I looked at him confused. What did he want? All of a sudden I heard the door bell. Well that explains the lack of answer from Calcifer. I shuffled off my bed awkwardly, Calcifer remaining in my arms with his claws in my chest. I held him close to me as I stumbled tiredly down the stairs to answer the door.

I pretty much wrenched the old door open, to see a small package wrapped in brown paper and string, lying on the doorstep. There was a pentagram drawn on the side of the box, my heart began to beat faster in my chest as I leaned down to pick up the box. I saw a blue shimmer surround it, 'A protection charm', I thought to myself. I knew that I couldn't touch the box until I got rid of the charm, I dropped Calcifer next to the box, mentally asking him to bring it in. He grabbed the string and dragged it into the house. The blue shimmer surrounding the box whenever it bumped into something.

Calcifer did his best to drop the box carefully on the dining table, before sitting next to it. I shut the door quickly and ran through to Calcifer, "What is it?" Calcifer asked, bouncing up and down excitedly, I smiled and walked to the box. I felt my eyes turn a dark, vibrant purple as I waved my hand over the package, removing the charm. I opened the box and Calcifer got more excited, I think it was because he would get the box afterwards. Inside the box, was a map with a circled area, a note, a leather bag of treats for Calcifer, another leather bag, a leather bound spell book and another leather bound book. I shifted things around in the box to grip the note;

(y/n),
We have reason to believe that there is a surplus of supernatural energy surrounding a small town in California. Originally there was nothing there aside a small family of Werewolves, after a tragic fire six years ago, there were hardly any left of the Hale family. However, now there seems to be a new alpha, and we are worried he will find a beta.
We want you to move to Beacon Hills and discover the beta, you need to keep him and the people around him safe, no matter the cost. Depending on the amount of casualties and supernatural occurrences, you may be there for good.
Good Luck and Blessed Be,
The High Council of Witches.

Werewolves, never met one of those, this could be fun. Besides, I've gotten bored of this place, "Cal, it looks like we are moving again," Calcifer stopped bouncing around and yowled at me, "I know you aren't happy but who knows, we might find some more pet shops, I could spoil you more?" I teased, emptying the items from the box, watching Calcifer happily hop in. He curled up and yawned his reply in my head, "Okay that sounds fine." I chuckled at my sleepy kitty. I got Cal when I first moved here, a tiny black kitten in a pet store down the road, he was my familiar. A regular cat, turned witch's familiar thanks to a bit of magic. Now he can speak to me in my head and helps me out.

Well, looks like I have some packing to do, I sighed, waving my hand around the dining room and kitchen, everything levitating and being gently placed in boxes. "Now that's done, what else did they send me?" I looked at Calcifer, picking up the bag of treats and waving them around in front of his nose. His face perked up and he snatched the bag from me, trying to open it. I smiled and began to look over the other items from the box, knowing he would be a while.

The first item was the map, red marker circling Beacon Hills, I'm not sure why The Council thought I would need it. One, everything is on the internet anyway and two, I can think of the place and be there in a snap of the fingers. The next item was a small leather pouch with something in it. It can't be potion ingredients, I get my own, what else would it be? I loosened the drawstrings of the pouch and saw some purple flowers, they had a pleasant but sharp scent. Wolfsbane. Why would The Council send this either? No werewolf can match a witch. Especially not me. I know I'm a bit full of myself, but I know my strength.
