Kayla's P.O.V

"You are always here aren't you?" Mason chuckles.

"I like coming here. I get to hide from everyone for a while and I get to keep you company during your shift.  Plus the coffee is amazing." I responded.

"Keep me company you say," he teases.

"Shut up,  I'm your favorite customer," I claimed.

"Yes you are but maybe you should start working here. I mean your here most of the time anyways maybe make some money out of it and you can still keep me company." He suggested.

He honestly is making a good point. I am always here and I think I could really use some working experience after all.

"You're right. I'll consider it." I smiled causing him to lightly chuckle.

"Maybe after prom," I say confidently.  "Usually seniors get out a few weeks earlier in my school if we turn our last assignments in on time."

"Oh yeah prom," he laughs." I forgot yours is coming up soon while mine is still a few weeks away. I don't understand why they did that this year. Prom is usually scheduled for an earlier date but eh I guess that still gives me time to look for a dance partner."

"You're having trouble finding a date!" I say a little too loudly causing some people to turn and look at me.

I mumble an apology before repeating that same phrase in a lower voice.

"Ummm yes.. why is that such a surprise," he nervously runs his hands through his hair.

"Well I mean your Mason, if I weren't dating anyone, I would totally date you. You are kind and sweet.  You are a good listener.  You're funny. You aren't bad looking. I don't know I would think people would be lined up to date you."

"If only Ethan was here to listen to you compliment me so many times. " he teases with a smirk plastered on his lips.

"Shut it, Mason, " I roll my eyes in a joking manner. "You get where I'm getting at."

"Yes I do," he laughs. "But now that I think about it when am I going to meet this infamous Ethan Dolan, aka your wonderful boyfriend." He rolls his eyes.

"Well, soon..." I mumbled completely caught off guard.

I mean I never talked about Mason before especially not to Ethan. Mason is a good friend of mine and plus the coffee shop is a good hiding place from everything and everyone.  I guess I just never thought of introducing them.

Knowing Ethan he would instantly feel threatened by Mason if he knew how much time I spend with him.

"Is he thought type to get jealous easily?" Mason asked skeptically.

No.

Maybe.

Honestly.

I don't know.

"Not really. Well, I don't think so. "
