Chapter 7

I can't believe him. He really just put his number in my pencil case. He even drew a little owl on it. Although. . . His handwriting kind of sucks.

I put the paper down and sighed out loud. The crows looked at me and then at the paper. I started putting pencils and pens back in my case when I found a pencil that wasn't mine. It was a black pencil with a white owl eraser on top.

He did not just give me a pencil with an owl eraser. He's so childish. But . . . the eraser is pretty cool.

I discovered the eraser was one of the kinds that could be taken apart. I first took off the wings, then the backside, leaving only a head and the front of its eraser body. I tried taking off the head and when I did, it came off in 2 different pieces. It was like it split in half straight down the middle. This left me with only the half-body of an owl. The crows on my desk were shuffling away from me, having a scared look in their eyes.

Well this is horrifying. They are probably terrified of me right now, holding the parts of the owl.

Feeling the temperature rising in my cheeks, I quickly put the eraser back together and stuck it on the pencil. The crows seemed to relax while I started studying.

Around an hour later, I quit working on my test review and looked at the small piece of paper with the number on it.

Should I text him? Maybe I should prank him. But what prank?

Taking out my phone, I decided to text him.

Hello. Your order has been shipped.
         
I didn't want him to know it was as me, so I pretended to be a company shipping something to him. It was currently 4:49 so my mom was going to come home around a half hour from now. I also didn't know whether Bokuto has practice today nor what time it would end at. Putting my phone to the side, I went back to studying.

*Ping*

My phone went off exactly 8 minutes later. I noticed I had a new message.

Hey hey hey! I didn't order anything!

I'm sorry. No purchases can be returned.

But I did not order anything. Am I getting a present from someone?

I sent him a link that had a black screen. After being on the screen for 3 seconds, a fake notification would pop up in the middle of the screen saying "Warning. A virus has entered this device." Then more would pop up and soon, the whole screen would be covered in warnings.

I received another text 4 minutes later from Bokuto.

U jus gave me a virus! Bro, wtf? Me an my team will destroy u. Rob u of all the meaty foods u got

That sent me. I started laughing loudly and tears were appearing in the corner of my eyes. My phone fell out of my hands and onto the desk, making all the birds jump from being startled by the loud noise.

This boy is crazy! Rob me of my food? Of meat?

I was laughing so hard, I almost failed to notice my phone screen change from the messages to an incoming call. I stifled my laughs and saw Bokuto was calling me. I answered the phone.
