I turned around quickly, trying to make a dash in my heels for the changing rooms, but the one person I didn't want to see was too quick and noticed me before I had time to slide the curtain across. I turned around to face him and the others, readjusting my dress slightly from around my legs.
'Wow Georgia, you look really nice!' 'Thanks Niall!' 'No problem, anytime! Anyway, I best be going. I'll see you at school on Monday, yeah!' 'Yeah...bye Niall' and with that, he left, touching my arm as he turned to the door, and waltzed out.
I turned around to face the others, my face in my hands, and all they did was laugh in my face. 'Awww G, you're blushing! I think you're in lurvvee!' 'Shush Teri, I am not in love with Niall!' 'Well you sure acted like you were, going all cute and shy!! Like a little girl you were!' Teri joked! I looked to James for some way of proving that I wasn't but all I saw was his head hanging low. Something was wrong, and I needed to know what it was.
*a couple of hours later, in a coffee shop*
'...but I never expected him to walk past, at all, else I wouldn't have paraded around the shop in that ridiculous dress!' I explained. 'But you see, you didnt look one inch ridiculous,' Charlie said. 'You looked anything but ridiculous!'
The whole time we had been in the coffee shop, James hadn't said one word, so I changed the subjet to something I knew he had to talk about.
'So James, since its very clear that I am NOT going to prom, what movies do you wanna watch, bearing in mind horror movies are off the list, else I may as well go to the prom!' 'Ummm I don't mind, whatever you want to watch, I'll watch.' What is up with this boy! Why is he in a mood! He wanted me to try on the dress for God's sake!
