Chapter 14

He next morning I woke up in someone’s arms.
Josh’s arms.
I saw him smiling down at me. “Good afternoon,”
“Afternoon?”
He nodded his head. “It’s twelve o’clock”
“How long have you been awake?”
“About two hours”
I buried my head in his chest. “You smell good” I mumbled.
He chucked as he wrapped hiss arms around my waist.
“I’m hungry, let’s go to a diner” Josh said getting up.
“Okay,” I said following him.
He pulled on his clothes and I did the same.
We walked hand and hand to the diner.
We sat down at the booth across from each other.
We leaned in, over the table and kissed each other.
“Hello, my name is Barbra, what can I get for you?”
“The heart shaped pancakes with strawberries” Josh said.
“Anything else?” she asked.
“Two glasses of orange juice” he added.
“Coming up” she said. “Oh, by the way, dear, you have very pretty eyes”
“Thank you” I said.
She nodded her head as she left.
“You do have pretty eyes”
“Thanks”
*****
After our brunch we took a walk in the park.
After our walk we walked to Josh’s house to get his car and some of his clothes. He was going to sleep over again.
We were on my sofa cuddling together. I was lying on my back on top of him and he was playing with my hair.
“Where do you want to go to college?”
“I don’t know yet”
“What do you wan to be?”
“I’m thinking about a lawyer”
“Really?”
“Yeah, what do you think?”
“I think you’ll be a great lawyer”
“Thanks” he said kissing my cheek.
“I’ll visit you every chance I get. I promise,” he whispered in my ear.
“Good” I said turning around to kiss him.
I captured his lips and turned around to face him.
I fell on my back slowly so Josh was on top of me.
The house phone rang, I was going to ignore it, but it could be one of my parents.
Josh groaned as he got off of me. “Hurry back,” he said as I got up to get the phone.
“Hello?” I said into the phone.
“Violet honey” my father said.
“Yeah dad?”
“Your mother and I are coming home soon. Can you start dinner?”
“Yeah, sure” I said as Josh came into the dinning room.
He told me that he was going to go to my room.
I nodded my head as I listened to my dad.

Josh’s Point Of View

“Hello?” I said as I walked up stairs.
“Hey man,” Matt said. “How did it go with you and Violet?”
“It went great, we’re back together”
“That’s great bro. I’m really sorry again”
“Its cool”
“Alright, I got to go and make things right with Lucy”
“Okay, good luck man”
“Thanks bye”
“Bye” I hung up the phone and went back down stairs to Violet.

Violet’s Point Of View

I stared the dinner when I felt two strong hands wrap around me.
“Hey”
“Hey”
“Who were you talking to?”
“Matt”
“Oh”
“I was think and I realized that we don’t have a song”
“Do you want one?”
“Yeah”
“Okay, how about the song I played when my grandmother died?”
“Yeah, I really like that one, what’s it called?”
“I don’t know”
“We could name it?”
“Our song?”
“Yeah” he said giving me a quick kiss.
I continued to make dinner.
My parents came home shortly and we all eat together.
After dinner Josh and I got ready for bed.
*****
The next morning we all went to church, then met up with Josh’s parents at his house for lunch.
After about an hour or two of hanging out, my parents left. I stayed because I was sleeping over.
His parents showed me funny home videos of Josh.
After that we both got ready for school and bed.
****
Josh told me he couldn’t drop me home after school.
He was going to check out an university.
I wished him good luck with that.
Lucy, the bus driver, dropped me home.
I quickly did my homework and watched ‘Kenan and Kel’ reruns .
The doorbell rang and I got up to answer it.
When I opened the door I saw Matt.
