Bella P.O.V

Once again, I searched and searched for my earphones, who apparently like to play hide and seek with me. I look under my bed, between the covers, in my pockets, everywhere.

"Emmett, where are my earphones?" I call from my room. I check the bathroom and the living room, throwing everything, everywhere.

"You left them on the kitchen counter," he says from the fridge.

"They're not there, they couldn't grow legs and walked away." I walk to the kitchen. Eureka, found them. "No more playing hide and seek," I tell them as if they could speak back.

I look at my brother Emmett who keeps looking for food in my fridge. He's as big as a bear could be, way too much gym for him. I cross my arms when I see him take out the last piece of chocolate cake I have.

"Emmett, go to your house and eat your own cake," I growl.

"Hey, Rosalie got this whole idea of being fat ever since we had Ava. She doesn't even let me have a soda, trust me I need sugar."

I take the cake away. "You're as big as a bear and healthy, you don't need this. Plus, Rosalie is your wife you have to listen to her."

I put the cake away. Emmett and my best friend Rosalie married a year ago and just had their first baby. As much as I love them, they seriously get on my nervous with their diets.

"Hey, you go jogging every morning and have cake, no fair."

I smile at my brother. "Because I have a balanced diet so I can have cake. Now, I'm going jogging so get your big ass out of my house."

"Fine." We walk to the door and he says, "BBQ Saturday, remember? And good luck in your first day at work."

"Alright and thank you. When are Jasper and Alice coming back?"

"Tomorrow."

"Okay, love you." I kiss his cheek. "And don't you dare sneak in my home to eat my cake."

"Love you, too." He gets in his car and drives away.

I shake my head and smile. I plug in my earphones to my phone. Sia starts singing Chandelier. I stretch my back, my arms, my legs and neck so I wont be that sore at work. I start jogging towards the park as I've always been doing for the past three months I've been in this neighborhood; also taking a quick glance at my front neighbor who is really hot.

He's there fixing his car in his garage. He has bronze hair, white skin, muscular, and seems to be tall. I haven't seen him from close but I wish I could. Or at least have a quick glance under...

I shake my head with a smile, laughing at myself because of the huge turn my thoughts went through. I never think about a guy that way, not ever since I broke up with my four year boyfriend Jacob for cheating on me.

After my run, I come back home and take a shower. Today is my first day as the assistant of the president of Forever Publishing, Inc. Mr. Newton. He was the one who interviewed me and left clearly that I was the one who he wanted at his company. He also signed me up as an intern so I could be an editor.

I put on a grey skirt with a white button shirt tucked in. Back leggings and my heels. I let my brown hair down over my shoulders. I put eyelids on and a little bit of lipstick. I'm ready for work.

Forever Publishing, Inc is a big book publishing/editing industry here in Seattle. Mr. Newton, my new boss, could be one of the most sweetest man I could have ever met in my life.

"Isabella, welcome to your first day at Forever Publishing, Inc," he said when I walked in his office. He's a tall, blond, muscular man. He wears a grey suit with a white shirt and black tie, really elegant. His hair is neat and seems he uses too much hair spray.

His office has a view towards the beautiful city of a Seattle morning in June. His dark wooden desk is places right in front of it, the leather chair has it's back towards it.

"Call me Bella and thank you," I smiled.

"Bella," he smiled back, "your first job for today is to get me a coffe, no sugar, please."

I nod. "Right away."

I head to the kitchen that is just a few feet away from his office. There I see a girl making herself some coffee. She's tall, black her, blue eyes, white skin, really pretty.

"Hello," she says when she sees me, "I'm Angela. You're new, right?"

I nod. "Yes. Isabella. The new assistant of Mr. Newton."

"Well, I'm the assistant of the VP," she smiled. "Mr. Anderson."

I nod stirring the coffee. "Nice to meet you."

"Same. If you want we can have lunch together," she offers. "Usually it's just me and my friend Jessica. She works as the receptionist."

"That's really nice, thank you."

Thank God, my life was falling into place. I just graduated collage with honors; I got an amazing job and with nice coworkers; I have my own house and a loving family. If my parents were to be alive, I hope they'd be proud of me. I worked this hard to get my life perfect, just like I promised them when I was little.

Nothing can ruin the way my life is turning out. And, when I mean nothing, I mean nothing.
