What hiding in the forest

Paddle, paddle, paddle! That is what I am thinking when the biggest wave of the morning is rolling my way. I start paddling with the wave. It picks me up and I start to stand on the surfboard. I get into position and just go with the waves, just like I do with the rest of my life. I love surfing in the morning, it’s about 4 in the morning. I start to turn in to the wave, but I turned it too far and I took a spill. I fell in the cold water and tried to swim upward, but the pull of the wave keep me from doing so. The wave took me and my board in to shore. When I finally took a breath of air I crawled on to the sand and just laid there with the waves rolling over my body. Then I stared to laugh. I clutched my stomach and laughed some more.

After my laughing fit I got my board and put on my shorts. I strapped my board to my bike and rode home. I unlocked my little house and my two dogs, DJ my Great Dane and Kaisha my Siberian husky. I go straight to my room and get dressed my skinny jeans with my knee high converse. I pull a loose hanging tee shirt that has an anchor on it, over my bathing suit top. I yank my long jet black hair up and take a big clip and pin it up.

As I walk out the door I grab my backpack and skate board. When I reach the school I hop off my skate board and walk to my best friend, Jenna, I call her Jelly though. I walk into the guard room, yes I am in colorguard and so is she, and I see her really curly, really red hair.

“Jelly, what are you doing?” I ask even though I know exactly what she is doing. I put my stuff down and maneuver my way to her. There is so much crap in here and we can barley move in here.

“Iara (i-ra) can you pass me the white tape.” I smiled and tossed the roll of white electrical tape. She caught it with ease. She started to tape her riffle and I started to look for my flag bag. After she was done we went to the library. We started walking down the hall when a few cheerleaders stopped us.

“Well water girl, couldn’t hide your face today?” she and her friends laugh

“It’s hard to look away from your ugly face. I can learn with that big of a distraction.” One of the blonde bimbos says. I roll my eyes. It’s not like she was learning in the first place. Once we got to the library Jelly started to try to cheer me up. Ironic that the CHEERleaders brought me down.

“They can’t say that, you a beautiful they way you are.” Jelly says. We sit down at a chess table set up the chess pieces. Now I’m thinking why they insulted me. My face has a huge red burn down it. I used to be where my hair was but it grew back and it reaches down my neck. My family and I were is a fire accident. My parents died that night, and I was left alone. Jelly and I joke around about me going all Phantom of the Opera on everyone. You know wearing a white mask all the time, being all creepy, and sing opera.

We play our chess game and I won again, as always. We go thought S.C.H.O.O.L. Seven cruel hours of our lives. School is always boring nothing interesting happens. Then we go to practice. The only thing that happened today was that one of the freshman’s bolts on the flag fell off when she was in a middle of a toss and hit me in the head. No biggy, happens more than you think. After practice Jelly and I walk to her car. She has some pretty nice stuff.

“Are you going home?” I ask her. She nods and says she has a lot of homework. Luckily tomorrow is a weekend. That means I can surf all day if I want to. We bid our goodbyes and go our separate ways. She lives a richer part of town by the beach (where I really want to live) and I live in the more ‘poor’ side of town. I get on my board and ride home. I take a more scenic route. Jelly says that the beach side is not safe at night but I ignore her and ride through the forest. When I stop at a big space I lay down for a while just staring at the stars.

I look up and see a full moon. I start to hear a wolf howl. That wakes me out of my ‘deep in mind’ thinking. I get up quickly and now remember why the forest is so dangerous. Wolfs. I remember someone got attacked by one a few years ago. He said they were huge, bigger then a horse. Everyone thought he was in shock, but a few other rumors have passed though this town about The Wolfs. I quickly got up and looked around. Please don’t get me wrong, I want to see them. I’m not scared, if anything I’m very interested.

Out of no were, HUGE wolfs come jumping out of the bushes. Now I know how Katness and Peeta felt in the Hunger Games. I start to scream and scream. I would have never guessed that this would be very scary. There were five gigantic wolfs growling at me, teeth and all. My screams did not die down; they just got louder and girly-er. Then one of them did something I was so not expecting in over a thousand years. The middle wolf that was jet black with a cute white spot on its side started to whimper! My dogs do that when they don’t get what they want or when Roberto, my cat, hurts them.

The wolf starts to stare at me. This made me freak out more so my initial reaction was more screaming. It looked like if flinched when I started screaming more. Then it was walking forward. To me!!!! I backed up to a tree and the wolf came closer. The other wolfs stopped snarling at me and turned around and sat there. Yeah, just sat there. The wolf that was coming at me looks me straight in the eyes and I felt light and dizzy. His eyes were so human and icy blue. He came up to me and rested his head on my shoulder.

After he did this I calmed down and started to pet his ear. This is where I pet my dogs when I pet them. He seems to like it. My legs started to give out. The wolf picked me up and then everything went black.
