-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello! before this story starts I want to make it some things clear to save from confusion for the story.

This Book is a combination of my own original world and characters mixed in the world of Undertale. The first chapter will not have much of the Undertale characters and they will show up quite a bit into the book. That cause I originally wanted this to be my own original book with everything being my own so I already have all that stuff planed out. Things have now changed so this will be a combination of my world with Undertales so that's what will be going on in this story. I hope you all stay and read what I have to offer.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Eons ago, there was a-war, A-war that was so powerful, and so destructive, that it had destroyed the world that the gods of the earth had created. Most of the blame did not go to the commoners that were just trying to live out their everyday lives, but instead, the majority of the blame had gone to the ones that had power over the rest. Even so, it was the technology that, in the end, caused the god's demise.

This was not their first world war however, not even their second one, but instead, it was their third war. That was the thing that had caused them to die out. The smartest beings to ever walk this earth, could not see their own patterns of destruction, but that is not the only reason the gods had fallen. It was also their inability to get along with one another. It's really no surprise that the gods had gone extinct with their own Creations, Technology, and there want for power.

Well, at least, in the end, they did create something new, or perhaps pushed their life into a brand-new direction. They had created monsters. When the gods had dropped their devices called 'booms' onto the earth, it had killed a lot of them, but not all. The ones that survived the attack, had to deal with the post-apocalyptic aftermath of the war. There were chemicals inside there 'booms' and when it had exploded it had released radioactive chemicals into the air.

This radioactivity is what caused the survivors to start to change physically. At first, the changes were a direct reaction from the radioactivity, but when new gods had been born it caused new mutations within them. After thousands of years, they had started evolving into new species that can survive their new habitat. Now that millions of years have passed, we have what monsters look like today.

In today's timeline, we have monsters that vary in shape and sizes. This is because their ancestors before them had to evolve to their environment and obtain qualities to help them survive. There were many different types of monsters all over the world which was a factor that had also shaped the way they had evolved.

When King Asgore had decided to go explore the world outside of his small kingdom, that is when he had discovered that there had been others out in different parts of the world. After much negotiation led by King Asgore and the others who were in charge of their community, the different types of monsters were able to live out their lives in peace with each other. With that, they could now work with each other, and exchange knowledge to create new ways to live.

Within his discoveries, he had heard of a place that still had some of the god's old buildings. Of course, all of them were at least halfway underneath the ground and where covered in overgrown plant life. At this point it is impossible to get into any of the buildings because of their condition, some even being broken down altogether. Except for one building, it is an ancient library.

There is only one way to get inside the library, and it is through a tiny opening at the very top of the building. Inside of this building is a world of books, but no one knows what is inside of any of them. Anyone who was brave enough to do any kind of adventure inside of this building, either came out of there, scarred for life by whatever had happened to them inside of there, or in an even unluckier situation, they never came back at all. For the ones who had come back, they are unable to speak of what had happened, because of this, there are many theories on what is really inside of the library.

The most well-known theory is, the god's souls are either trapped, or they choose to stay within the library to protect the last remaining knowledge, from the gods, left in the world. In other words, the library is haunted by the gods, but no one knows for sure and it is just a speculation. It is advised for anyone to never go to the library themselves for it is way too dangerous for anyone to go see for themselves's.... hmmm... "

Memphis stopped reading the book, and just stares and that last page, rereading the warning a few times over, really letting everything sink in. Her mind lost in space, she ran her clawed fingers on that last page before she moved her hand under the book and closed it with a small "thud". she moves her handoff of the book and leans back into her chair, looking up at her roof.

After a few minutes of thinking, she stands up and stretches.' Well, that simply won't do.' She thought to herself, before heading over to her bed and crawling underneath her covers. 'I'm sure I can get one of there souls without any real damage, right? Surely, it's not impossible. I'll go over there tomorrow morning before anyone is up and around to see what's going on.' She planned out in her head before letting her drowsiness take over. She slowly drifted off to sleep. She had a big day tomorrow.
