"So when I talked to you a few days ago you said you liked Casey too. What happened to that?" Caden asked as he dipped another french fry in his ketchup. We decided to go out for lunch after rehearsals, just the two of us for some brother-sister bonding time. "Well things between us were complicated when you called, and then just the other day he admitted that he hooked up with another girl, and I told him I wasn't in the right place, mentally, for a boyfriend." I said. "But what about James?" He looked up at me. "I don't know." I replied as I stared off in the distance thinking about what I wanted with James. "Well if you're not ready for a boyfriend then tell him that. I'm sure he'll understand." Caden said. "I know but..." I stopped. "But you don't want to tell him, because you like him." He finished my sentence. I slowly nodded my head and took a deep breath. "You need to talk to him and see where his head is at." He told me. I agreed, and then we both got up from our booth and left the café.
"What are you guys doing tonight?" Tom asked as Caden and I walked in the bedroom with the rest of the boys. Working. "Nothing. Why?" Caden said. "Because it's my birthday and me and the boys, apart from Reece and Charlie, are going out. I figure since you're seventeen, we can go somewhere semi-fun." Tom smiled. "Hell yeah, we're in." Caden answered before I could come up with an excuse to say no. So now I have two options. 1- call in sick to work, or 2- make up a lie and miss a night with the boys. "Yeah. Sounds fun." I smiled and left to go call Robert. "Hello?" He answered. "Hi, Robert? It's Aria." I said into the phone. "Who?" He asked. I sighed. "Harmony." I rolled my eyes. "Ooohh. Hey baby girl, what's up?" He asked. "Hi. I um, I'm not gonna be able to make it tonight. I have a family emergency I have to deal with." I said apprehensively. "Oh yeah? What kind of emergency?" He pried. "A family one." I stated dryly. "Yeah alright. But you're gonna have to make up for the lost hours in the private rooms." He said. "That's fine. See you tomorrow." I said then hung up and joined the boys back in the room. "Good, you're back. There's a dance club not too far away from here for people eighteen and up. Does that sound alright?" Tom asked. Ew, a dance club? I thought I just called off work. Apparently not. "What's it called?" I asked. "Uuhh Nocturnal." Tom answered. Oh thank god. Its not a strip club, it's an actual dance club. Like with a DJ, and lights, and people grinding on each other for everyone to see. So basically a strip club but with more clothes. "Sounds fun. When did you want to go?" I asked him. "I don't know, I was thinking we could get there around 10pm?" He asked. "Yeah. But wait, you said it was for people eighteen and up. Does that mean Caden isn't going?" I looked at Caden who was smirking at me. "I may or may not have gotten a fake I.D. after you left." He held up a plastic card with his face on it. "No freaking way." I grabbed it from his hand and examined it. "This is actually pretty impressive. Have you used it before?" I asked as I handed it back to him. "A few times actually." He smiled and put it back in his pocket. "Well it's only 5pm now. We have a few hours before we need to leave. What do we want to do in the mean time?" I asked. "Football?" Reece beamed. "American football?" Caden looked at him. "Yeah. Aria taught us how to play a while ago. It's fun." Reece replied. "I'm in." Caden answered. "Me too." I replied. A few minutes later and we were all out back splitting up into teams.
Two hours later and the game was over. "Dibs on first shower!" I yelled and ran upstairs and slammed the bathroom door shut behind me before any of the guys could beat me to it. I scrubbed my entire body until the hot water hurt to be under. After I was clean and refreshed, I turned the water off, wrapped the towel around my body and went to my room. "Hmm...what should I wear?" I mumbled to myself. "Something tight." A voice said from my doorway. I jumped and clutched the towel closer to me. "James! You scared the shit out of me!" I yelled. "Sorry." He chuckled and made his way towards me. I could feel my heart starting to beat faster as he got closer. "Go away. I need to change." I pushed him back towards the door lightly. "That's ok. I can watch." He winked and I felt my face get hot. He stepped forward and leaned in close, so his lips were pressing lightly against my jaw. He slowly rubbed his lips from the tip of my jaw line to the bottom, causing goose bumps to appear on my entire body as I felt his hot breath against my cheek. He leaned back slightly and slowly pressed his lips to mine. He was gentle and tender, and he made my legs weak and my throat tighten. It was a short, soft kiss but it was enough to make me long for more. "Now I'll go. I just had to do that." He whispered and then turned to leave. It took me a few seconds to recover from what just happened, but eventually I came to and remembered that I was supposed to be getting ready. I pulled on a pair of pajama shorts, a push-up bra, and a tank top, then went to the bathroom and straightened my hair. Since my hair was so long -and wet from the shower- it took me an hour and a half to do it, and by the time I was done, it was 9:15pm. I went back to my closet and roamed through my clothes. There was one dress in particular that stuck out. It was white, with a ruffled side strap. It was sexy and sophisticated. I remember trying it on in the store. It hugs me in all the right places. I smiled as I pulled it from the hanger and grabbed a simple pair of black pumps to go with it. After I had my outfit picked out, I went back to the bathroom, and applied a golden smoky eye to enhance my brown eyes. Once my hair was done, make up was applied, and my dress was on, I met the boys in the bedroom. "Damn!" Jake said as soon as he seen me. I giggled and sat down on the bed. "Aria. You look freaking hot." Barclay added. "Thanks. You guys look good too." And it was true. Their outfits were all a mix of casual and formal. They looked sexy. Just then, James walked into the room and was about to say something before he seen me. He stood there staring at me before Jake had to clear his throat to get his attention. "Oh, um. The cab is here." James mumbled. "Well alright. Let's go get our dance on!" Tom yelled excitedly. We all got up and made our way downstairs, and out to the cab. Tonight was going to be fun.
