Still in the past life

Fulguras stepped back a little fearfully as Coluber coiled behind her, hissing nervously, his forked tongue flikering in back and forth.

"Now now.. Mikoto, surely you haven't forgotten.." said Asgawrath. "Your 200th birthday.. don't you remember? Surely you do.."

Fulguras's eyes widened with horrified recognition. "I-I thought it was a dream..and that black box... I thought.."

"You thought it was just something you just found in your room one day.. well it wasn't.. you remember.." said Asgawrath. "Come.. Mikoto.. let us walk.."

"That's not my name.." Fulguras said.

"Oh, but it will be... it will be.." said Asgawrath... "Come.. Fulguras.. if that name makes you more comfortable..or howabout.. Fulgy?"

"F-Fulgy only lets her friends call her that." said Coluber in a quavery voice.

"Now now.. don't get your hands in a twist.." said Asgawrath. "It's her decision..."

Fulgy narrowed her eyes dangerously as Coluber looked down. Mentioning hands or limbs was a sensitive issue for Coluber, being one of the only Numensapiens who had no arms or legs.. or limbs of any sort.. Coluber could move around pretty well without them.. as well as pick up things with his tail.. but Fulguras knew for a fact that one of Coluber's deepest wishes was to have arms..

Though it might have sounded casual, the way Asgawrath mentioned "arms." Fulguras could here the mockery in his essence, the way he was belittling her friend.. like he was an insignificant ant.. and she didn't like it at all.

"Hey.." said Fulguras. "We can do without your freaking attitude.."

Asgawrath chuckled. "She is perfect.. isn't she? She will definitely be chosen by Supremos.."

"Yes, yes she will." growled Dravis. "But I don't see how that's good for us!! Ya never tell me the entire plan Father!!"

"Hmph.. just be patient my son.." said Asgawrath. "As for you.. Mikoto, why don't we take a walk? Surely, you can grant me this one favor.. after all.. I did save your hide just now.."

Asgawrath gestured towards the knocked out Grock lying on the ground snoring.

Fulguras sighed. In Numensapien culture debts were no laughing matter. When you owed somebody something, you never usually needed to repay the debt. However, if the person you owed in particular mentioned the debt and requested you pay it... it was the hieght of disrespect to turn it down.. and if it wasn't for Asgawrath, Fulguras and Coluber would be dragging themselves home in pieces.

"Fine.." said Fulguras. "Guess we could.. talk.."

"Fulgy.." said Coluber.

"G-go home Coluber." said Fulguras. "I'll be fine..."

Coluber shook his head. "No.. I'm staying.."

"Your presence is of no consequence to me.." said Asgawrath.. "come along now.. I have something cool to show you.."

Asgawrath shuffled away, Dravis crawling after the hem of his robes. Fulguras and Coluber looked at each other for a minute before following..

It was strange.. as they went through the street, it was as if none of the other Numensapiens could see Asgawrath.. the same went for Dravis. It wasn't like he was invisible to them.. finally Asgawrath glided into a old looking bar with aged wooden beams... something that was quite rare considering most architectural structures in Primaris were all made of Holy Iron, Marble, Divine Stone, Gold and Diamond.
