Chapter 10

Y/N's POV

Days and Moths surely is fast and I'm already sixteen. I'm here at Kyojuro's place spending our free time together. Amane-san was so happy when I told her that I'm going  to stay at the flame estate until dinner. I don't know why she is happy but I guess she really wanted me to have some friends. Oyakata-sama also don't mind me leaving our estate for a while.

" Hey, Y/N the final selection is done right, did your friends send some letter to you?" Kyojuro asked while wiping his nichirin sword. I humned in response before shooking my head.

" No." For some reason Sabito stopped writing letters since last month, now that the final selection is done. No one even wrote me a lettet not even Urokodaki-san. I was worried that something had happened to them and I can't stop thingking about them. I felt a tap in my head making me face Kyojuro, his eyes was gentle and he was also smiling.

My heart suddenly thumped faster than before, and my face heated up. I lowered my face to hide my blushing face, geez why do am I acting like this when it comes to him? I heard him chuckle together with his hand ruffeling my head.

" Don't worry, maybe they are busy in their missions." He said and faced his sword again, I just nod and didn't said anything. Yeah maybe they are doing some mission right now but, it's been a moth and I can't help to feel worried about them. I heard Senjuro's voice and I saw him putting down a tea together with a mochi rice cake and also a sweet potato.

" Thank you Senjuro." I said making him smile, he was really adorable and cute. He really look the same to Kyojuro, though Kyojuro was a handsome one. Wait what am I saying, my face suddenly heated again making me shook my head.

" What's wrong Y/N-neechan? Are you sick?" Senjuro asked making Kyojuro also faced me, I laugh nervously while shaking my hands.

" I'm o-okay." I said, they both looked each other before smiling and nodding, I just sighed while grabbing the mochi rice cake. I humned happily when my tounge tasted the sweet and fluffy mochi. It was really delicious, I also liked the (fav.food) a lot. I then faced at Kyojuro who is also happily eating sweet potato, the way he  enjoyed it maked me giggle at his cute behaviour.

" You really like sweet potato." I said making him nod and smiled, I'm really happy that I have a friend where I can spend my free time. The door opened from the kitchen making me peek on the wall, I then saw Kyojuro's father who just entered and grabbed a sake before leaving and slamming the door making me flinch a little.

He really change, the last time I saw him four years ago. That time he was the flame pillar and his face was really like Kyojuro's a person with enthuastic face. But now he really is a different person, I slowly faced Kyojuro who stopped eating for a while. He noticed that I'm staring at him making him smiled and continued eating.

" Hey Kyojuro." He humned before facing me again, but I shook my head. Even if I asked him if he is okay he will just smile and say yes. I just ignored my thoughts and grabbed one more mochi.

" Y/N, can you partner up with me in my next mission?" He suddenly asked  making me tilt my head to face him but smiled  and nod.

" Sure, but why you asked me?" His eyes then mine making me flinch a little, his was gentle but my heart started to beat again. Ugh why can't my heart calm down for a while.

" Well, I just miss having you as my partner." He happily said, again my face become flustered making me avoid his gaze to hide my blushing face.  Damn, I hate this, can't control myself and why am I really acting like this, seriously?  He suddenly chuckled and ruffled my hair like he always do. I just breathed out softly to calm myself, before smiling and nodding.
