Sup! My name's Jay, and this is going to be a book of high-class dog memes. Here's a couple guidelines of what this book does and does not support:

We DO support:
-Healthy debate in the comments
-Breeding to better the breed
-Health testing (done by breeders prior to breeding, OFA/PennHIP)
-Responsible cropping/docking (Done at the right age, by an experienced veterinarian who is licensed to practice, done under anesthesia, given post-op care instructions along with antibiotics and pain killers in some cases)
-Responsible use of training tools and equipment (prong/pinch collars, muzzles, e collars, weighted vests, treadmills, doggles, paw protection, etc.)
-Responsible training (no use of excessive force, using what works for the dog, using all four quadrants of training, not putting your dog or other people/dogs in danger)
-Responsible sporting (Using correct gear according to the sport, training and feeding your dog like the athlete it is, playing fair, keeping your dog's safety and happiness as the number one priority, knowing your dog's limits)
-Responsible upkeep (keeping your dog at a healthy weight, grooming regularly, nail maintenance, and generally doing what's best for your dog)
-Constructive criticism
-Creating a learning environment that is judgement-free
-And we DEFINITELY support asking questions! If you see anything you don't understand, ask! I'll gladly answer any questions you might have.

We DO NOT support:
-Unhealthy debate in the comments or elsewhere (name-calling, intransigency [although it is okay to agree to disagree], personal attacks, discrimination of any kind)
-Breeding irresponsibly (not health testing, breeding for color, breeding for profit, breeding for "designer breeds," breeding because "I just want them to experience parenthood one time," breeding for any personal or financial gain)
-Irresponsible surgeries (irresponsibly cropping/docking as defined above, not taking post-op care, surgeries not done by a licensed professional, surgeries are done hastily, pediatric spaying or neutering unless there are extenuating circumstances)
-Irresponsible use of training tools/accessories (putting too much weight into a weighted vest, using a prong/pinch collar too tight or having it as a necklace, attaching any kind of slip collar to a flexi lead or seatbelt, overuse or excessive force of any training tool at all, using an incorrect muzzle for the given situation)
-Irresponsible training (expecting room much of your dog at a time, pushing your dog too hard, not using all four quadrants of training, using excessive force, training your dog to do illegal activities, neglecting to train your dog and then putting them in a situation where they are expected to be trained [setting your dog up for failure])
-Irresponsible sporting (using drugs, not playing fair, putting your dog or other dogs/people at risk, pushing past your dog's limits or neglecting to learn them altogether, not using the correct gear for the sport)
-Irresponsible upkeep (Neglecting to groom, shaving double-coated dogs past the base coat, neglecting a dog's nails, choosing to not do what's best for your dog)
-Non-constructive criticism
-Creating a toxic environment for readers

Okay I think that's all! I'll update as I go. Have fun!
