ii. Chapter 24: "You've been with Bucky?"

Vienna, Austria

World leaders from the 117 countries that has approved the Sokovia Accords have come together to ratify the Accords. Among those in attendance at the ceremony is the Crown Prince of Wakanda, T'Challa.

T'Challa was looking out the window when he heard a woman calling for a familiar name, "Excuse me, Ms. Romanoff?" a UN Staffer asks.

     "Yes?" Natasha questions and turns to the staffer.

Holding out a clipboard, "These need your signature," the staffer replies,

     "Thank you," Natasha says.

When Natasha seems to be finished T'Challa approaches her, "I suppose neither of us is used to the spotlight," T'Challa says.

     "Oh, well. It's not always so flattering," Natasha replies,

     "You seem to be doing all right so far. Considering your last trip to Capitol Hill, I wouldn't think you'd be particularly comfortable in this company," T'Challa says,

     "Well, I'm not,"

     "And that alone makes me glad you are here, Ms. Romanoff," T'Challa says,

     "Why? You don't approve of all this?" Natasha questions,

     "The Accords, yes. The politics, not really. Two people in a room can get more done than a hundred," T'Challa said.

     "Unless you need to move a piano," King T'Chaka remarks approaching his son and T'calla.

     "Utata (Father)," T'Challa greets.

King T'Chaka then turn his attention to Natasha, "Ms. Romanoff,"

     "King T'Chaka. Please, allow me to apologize for what happened in Nigeria,"

     "Thank you. Thank you for agreeing to all of this. I'm sad to hear that Captain Rogers will not be joining us today," King T'Chaka says.

     "Yes, so am I," Natasha replies,

     "If everyone could please be seated. This assembly is now in session," a man said through the speakers.

     "That is the future calling," T'Challa said to his father before facing Natasha. "Such a pleasure,"

     "Thank you," Natasha said before leaving the two.

     "For a man who disapproves of diplomacy, you're getting quite good at it," T'Chaka says

     "I'm happy, Father," T'Challa answers.

T'Chaka puts his hand on his son's cheek, T'Challa kisses the ring on his father's hand.

     "Thank you. Thank you," T'Chaka says.

Everyone was seated, T'Chaka stood at the podium, "When stolen Wakandan vibranium was used to make a terrible weapon, we in Wakanda were forced to question our legacy. Those men and women killed in Nigeria were part of a goodwill mission from a country too long in the shadows. We will not, however, let misfortune drive us back. We will fight to improve the world we wish to join. I am grateful to the Avengers for supporting this initiative. Wakanda is proud to extend its handing in peace,"

While observing his father's speech, T'challa looks out the tall glass windows, a commotion catches his attention, "Everybody get down!" T'challa warns, running towards the podium. He fails to reach his father in time, the smoke from the explosion engulfs T'chaka while the shockwave throws T'challa off his course.

The chaos ensues amongst the injured, a wounded T'Challa crawls towards his father. He lets out a pained cry, cradling his father in his arms.

June 22nd at 1:30pm (British Summer Time)

London, England

     "Steve, Sarah, there is something you gotta see," Sam says,

They were now in Sharon's room, the television was on the news station, headlines reading: 'United Nations complex bombed'

     "A bomb hidden in a news van rips through the UN building in Vienna. More than seventy people have been injured and at least twelve dead, including Wakanda's King T'Chaka. Officials have released a video of two suspects who have been identified as James Buchanan Barnes, The Winter Soldier, and The Red Star, Two years ago her real name was released to the public as Sarah Josephine Rogers, the Daughter of Captain America. They're the infamous Hydra agents who are linked to numerous counts of terrorism and political assassinations, anyone with information-"

Sam and Steve trading looks, while Sarah anxiously bites her lip, "When was this?" She questions,

     "A couple hours ago," Sharon says coming out of the phone conversation with her boss.

     "I hope I'm not the only one questioning why Bucky and I are suspects?" Sarah asks and Steve's head immediately turns to look at her, "You know Bucky?" Steve raises his eye brows.

     "Yeah, He had nothing to do with this. and I was with you this whole time so, neither did I," She begins to explain, "I gotta warn him,"

     "Wait!" Steve says sternly grabbing Sarah's arm, "How do you know where he is?"

     "I have been with him," She replies.

     "With him?" Sam question raising his eyebrow teasingly.

     "Not like that, Sam," She then looks to her father, "I've been helping him remember his past,"

          "You've been with Bucky this whole time?" Steve asks feeling betrayed,

          "I have to go," Sarah says apologetically.

Everything was still chaos from the bomb explosion; dozens of different agencies were on the scene with even more working on their own agenda. Sitting on a bench, Natasha watches Prince-now King-T'Challa storm off vowing to kill James Barnes and Sarah Rogers. Her cell phone rings an unknown number, deciding to answer it she hears Steve ask, "Are you alright?"

     "Well, yeah thanks, I got lucky," she replied, standing up looking every which way Natasha says carefully, "I know how much James and Sarah means to you.

      "What about how much they mean to you?" He countered.

      "Stay home, you'll only make things worse. For all of us, please,"

     "Are you saying you'll arrest me?" Steve asks, Natasha, shaking her head and says, "No, but someone will if you interfere, that's how things work now," she says hoping that Steve listens to her for once.

     "They're innocent. She was at the funeral, you saw her, did she look like a person that wanted to bomb a building?"

     "Anything could happen...She has the powers, She could be in two places at once," Natasha says trying to convince herself that Sarah played a key role in the bombing.

     "She was with me the whole time, Nat, I never took my eyes off her. How could I? We finally had an hour of no interruptions to talk after two years,"

     "The way the news is looking right now, Steve," She argues

     "If anyone is going to bring them in, it's has to be me,"

      "Why?" Natasha questions. Steve hangs up before she gets her answers, "Sh*t" she mumbles.
