When i made it to school i went straight to my locker to grab my morning classes books. As i was grabbing them i hear my loud mouth ass friend Lashaye walking and talking to our other friend Marissa. Lashaye isn't a geek and she get a lot of attention me and her grew up together. She stood 5'7" and played volleyball. Her hair was natural with full curls she keep her hair down but when a bitch want to try her as she pull it up. And then there is Marissa. She is a mixture of me and Lashaye she stood 5'4" she had short curly hair she just started her natural and it look good on her but she will beat a bitch ass just like Lashaye. As they approached me Lashaye looked over my outfit before saying something.
"Bitch see you know how to dress." She said looking at my half over the shoulder shirt and my denim jeans with my Jordan's.
"Tell me something I don't know but I don't want to hide my eye color behind contacts." I responded closing my locker and headed toward the cafeteria.
"Girl you can always get clear contacts then maybe Mike will talk to you." She says mentioning a guy i had the biggest crush on since our freshman year of high school here it is senior year and i still haven't grew enough balls to tell him.
"He will never notice me with Kesha around." I respond this time with an attitude so she can leave it alone.
As we get in line Marissa boyfriend Marco walks over to us and greets each of us with a head nod while grabbing Marissa into a tight hug.
"Whats up y'all?" He says after he give Marissa a peck on the lips.
"Shit man just living life where is your twin Marcus at?" Lashaye asked Marco while looking around for Marcus see Marcus and Lashaye are in a realtionship but they break up every other week so they are in a complicated relationship.
"Man he somewhere around here looking for your ass y'all need to start texting each other instead of just looking for one another." Marco replied still hugging Marissa.
Marcus walked up to us right when Marco stopped talking we all spoke to him as he start to hug up with Lashaye see this is what i go through everyday with them I'm like the fifth wheel so i go and sit down at our normal table as they still stood there with their mates.
The bell rang indicating it is time to go to class i get up and head to my first period which is English 12. When i walked into the class the first face i seen was Mike. Mike is mixed with black & white he stood 6'3". He play basketball and he was a beast at it. As i take my seat at the front of the class i feel a pair of eyes on me and when i turned around it was Mike. I smiled to myslef as our teacher Mrs.Macy walked in the class.
"Okay class we are going to be having an assisment where you have to partner up and a pair." Everyone in the class got happy. "Dont get too excited because i already picked yall partners ." Everyone then said there awww and ughs. It didnt matter to me because i am smart so she can partner me up with anyone in the room and we will still pass this assisment.
"Okay as you guys can see your tables have numbers on them. Two of them tables have the same number and they are right next to each other. I want everyone to step outside the door and line up in abc order so as i call your name step outside and form a line." She began calling everyone names until we all stood outside the class my last name was Morris so im in the middle of the line while Mike last name was Adams so he at the beginning of the line when it made it to me i was number 12 as i made it to my desk i notice Mike sitting next to me. I cant believe she paired me with him of all people why it have to be my crush i take my seat and look at him.
"Well ill be damn she paired me with the quiet girl of the school." He said while everyone laughted at him. That really hurted my feeling but i held back my tears and raised my hand to ask to go to the ladies room of course she said yes. As i walked out the room Kesha rolled her eyes at me and called me a hoe. I just kelp walking until i made it out of the calss. See i was a soft girl as soon as i closed the door the tears fell this is why i cant wait to graduation its taking too long to come but before then we have valentines day and prom and im single so i dont have a valentine or a prom date. Here it is January and i still havent even ask no one to be my date to prom and i still havent shared my little secret to Mike i wipped my face and go back to class.
"Damn what did you do take a shit?" Kesha said as i passed her.
"Ms Grey you have detention after school for your language and dont come late or it will double. Now this partner assisment is do February 24th so you guys have excactlly a month to get to know your partner and do the assisment. It is over the relationships i will hand you and your partner a sheet of paper with the kind of relationship i want you to patray while doing this assisment. Wheather it a love, hate, complicated, good or even bad. Do to the fact that is 24 students and 12 groups of 2 some of you may have the same relationship as another pair." Mrs. Macy said while handing out the assisment when she made it to me and Mike she handed me a paper that said love.I rolled my eyes and raised my hand.
"Yes Ms Morris?" She said as she take her seat at her desk.
"I think you handed me the wrong assisment paper." I said looking down at the paper again then back up at her.
"No ma'am that is the right assisment look on the back it says your name and Mike's name." I didnt even respond back to her as i hand him the paper.
"Why you so uptight about the one we have?" he asked while looking at the paper.
"Because it say love not hate or anything else but here is my number text me so we can meet up somewhere and start the assisment." I hand him my number as the bell rang. I walked to my locker this time to meet up with my girls for second period. This is the only class we all shared together and with that being said we meet up at my locker everyday at the time.
"Bitch i wonder what we doing in this damn class today because im tired." Lashaye said as we all start to walk to class.
"Me too." Marissa says as she look over at me and see im in a pissed off mood. "Whats wrong Zhyia its not like you to be looking like that?" She said making Lashaye look at me too.
"In English we all got paired up for an assisment about relationships and guess who is my partner?" I say as they shook there heads in looked at me. "Its Mike and guess what relationship we got?" I asked and they looked at me again with no answer. "Love why did she have to put love on our name why not hate or complicated or good or bad she put love."
They laughed as we took our seats in Math class i didnt think anything was funny.
****SKIPPING TO THE END OF THE DAY****
After school i walked to my locked and place all my books in it since it is the weekend and i dont have no homework. as i close it i see Mike walking towards me with the prettiest smile on his face.
"Yo Zhy i was wondering if we can go to the coffee shop today and started on our lil assisment?" He asked while i looked at him crazy.
"Its Zhyia not Zhy and yea which one?"
"Well excuse me then and starbucks." he said as we started walking outside towars my car "Just follow me" he said and i nodded damn he sexy as hell i thought as i notice his car pull beside me motion for me to follow him. When we pulled up at Starbucks I was scared to even go in knowing people from school is going to be here to. I was knocked out of my thought when Mike knocked on my window. I cut the engine off and stepped out.
"Dayum ma you act like you don't want to be here." He said
"I really don't because people gone be starring at me like I'm crazy if I walk in with you." I responded.
He grabbed my hand and looked me in my eyes making my knees weak.
"Baby girl fuck Dhem haters especially Kesha I know she in here unless you want to buy the food and drinks and we go to my house and talk about it."
I shaked at the fact he called me baby girl. Then I shook my head and we started walking in Starbucks I totally forgot we was holding hands until Kesha came alone and stopped in front of us.
"Dayum Mike you want to explain why you holding Dhis bitch hand." she said.
