"You are incapable!"
"Your efforts are useless"
"You don't deserve to live!"
"It's impossible. "
These phrases were constantly repeated to her in her childhood haunted her. Although they were less frequent, they were still present in her life. Since she had gone to study in this establishment on the mountain, she had finally made friends, but apart from them, she was always rejected because of her status. She was not of noble descent, she lacked money but her blood was not of high rank. His friends were only half-beings with noble blood. Years after years their troubles were always present, a distinguished family could not bear them, especially the young girl. Their son showed it by openly mocking the origins of the young lady. Her friends comforted her every time, she never showed her weaknesses, she stayed strong in front of them, although often she only had one desire, the desire to cry. She had endured mockery and insults for years and now it has been eight years since she was in her establishment with her two best friends. Their ninth year was about to start, they were supposed to be at the foot of the mountain, to take advantage a little before starting their last year. Unfortunately for her, the young woman going to their meeting place fell asleep and trained in a dark place. When she woke up she had to wait a moment for her eyes to adjust to the dim light. She quickly realized that she was in a cell. She approached the bars, crawling because of severe pain in her left ankle. And that's where she saw him, the man who had belittled her for many years. He laughed as he watched her sprawled on the floor.
- If I had been told that I would manage to see you so weak one day I would never have believed it, Miss. I thought I saw you die earlier, unfortunately, I can't kill you right now, we need you alive.
He started to leave laughing, a laugh that resounded loudly between the frozen walls of the cell. She didn't have time to reply, he had already gone far, her horrible laughter was no longer heard. Lily went back to the back of the room to lie down, she had nothing else to do after all. She curled up on herself, trying not to be too cold, which was complicated. She fell asleep, having no other choice, to try to forget her current situation. She was awakened a few hours later, at least that's what she supposed, having no way of knowing the current time. A visibly disreputable man had hit the metal grates heavily. He groaned and placed a sort of tray with food on it. Lilly was not hungry and did not move, she fell back to sleep with difficulty.

She had been in this cell for a while already, she could not say precisely for how long, but could affirm that it had been several months. She ate very little she felt this lack, her body was frozen, the fact that winter had arrived did not help. She was getting weaker and weaker. As usual, since she was there she stared at the back wall thinking about her past life. A slight noise was heard behind her. She turned around and saw Keith, the son of the man who had locked him up here. Contrary to what she would have thought, he was not there to mock or ridicule her. He motioned for her to come closer, she then stood up to go towards the metal grid.
- You must be cold here, right? He said, handing her a jacket. She took the garment he handed her, questioning her.
- I just can't be calm knowing that someone is suffering right below me, don't think I'm doing this because it's you. Now I'm going there before someone notices I'm here.
The young boy left as quickly as he had come. The young woman put the jacket on her shoulders which quickly warmed her. The days went by slowly, but from time to time Lilly was visited by Keith, who sometimes brought her clothes so that she was not cold.
