Sitting in my room, tears flowing rapidly down my cheeks. The realization that nobody believes anything I say has my heart torn into pieces. What my ex boyfriend did to me wasn't a joke but everyone thinks it is. People at school completely walk past without even looking, as if I was a piece of trash laying on the street. The cops don't even believe me, the only member of my family that listens to what I say is my older brother. Brian, a jock, super popular in school, everyone's favorite. My own mother and father won't believe me. While still sitting on the bed I think back to the moment I told him. He was furious and threw some things in the house and stormed out. Not his normal reaction but that's expected. A brief pause in my train of thought caused me to remember the details of what happened to me that night, too dark to put into words. Probably the most unpleasant and unwanted thing I've ever had happen to me. I look at the clock and realize I had been crying for hours, 9pm I need to go to bed for school tomorrow. I crawl under the covers and then out the light and sleep poorly til it was morning. 6am, I roll out of bed half asleep and head down stairs sluggishly for my lunch that my mother usually packs. I grab my lunch and my backpack and head out the door as I'm heading out I hear a I love you from the kitchen. "I love you," I said back to my mother as I shut the door. I get on the bus and then arrive at school. As I walk down the hallway everyone is avoiding me like a river parts around a rock. I turn the corner and see my brother talking to my ex boyfriend which can't be a good sign. "You can't do that to my sister!" Brian yells in an extremely loud voice. "I don't know what you're talking about Brian," my ex replies in the kind of aggravated voice. The next thing I knew my brother beat my ex into the ground and finally a teacher came over and pulled my brother off of him. "What is the cause of this," the teacher asks.Brian not saying a word stares at him and then whispers something in his ear. The teacher hurried to the principles office and within a few minutes the police escorted my ex out the front door down to the police station. And my brother walks up to me and says "now everyone believes you."
