Golden Mornings | Lucio x Gender Neutral Reader | The Arcana

It was a calm morning in the palace. It was about eight in the morning. The servants were calmly doing their jobs already. The gardeners were pulling out weeds and trimming the bushes, the cooks were preparing a grand breakfast for their Count, the birds were awake and singing. The Count was still sleeping though, the golden light coming in through a window draping Lucio in gold. He was sleeping peacefully, his face void of any makeup and calm. You were just looking at him, happy that you are able to see the true side of him. You've been awake for thirty minutes now, just watching Lucio while he slept. Your eyes filled with love for the man you lay next to. You slowly reach your right hand over to him, shuffling slightly so you could be in a more comfortable position. As you lay on your left side you run your fingers through Lucio's hair, playing with it for a while. Lucio stirs slightly, opening his eyes to see your face. He gives a small smile before reaching for your hand, bringing it to his face he gives a gentle kiss to your palm. Taking your hand in his he closes his eyes once more, saying to you, "Go back to sleep my love. I want to cuddle for a while." You smile at him and agree, coming closer so that he can hold you tightly in his arms. Once again you fall asleep, the whole world still moving around you, even though time seems to stop when you're in his arms.
