Chapter one

Issy's POV
I sat on the window sill watching the rain pour. There's always hope for an orphan like me that a kind couple will come and adopt you. But for me not so much. The weather matches my mood: miserable.

Stella's POV
Me and Kelly decided to adopt a child together, we wanted an older child to help us ease into parenting so today we were going to break the news to the firehouse.
I called "come on guys Kelly and I have an important announcement". As everyone gathered Herrman shouted at the top of his lungs, "oh god, will we have a baby Severide" causing everyone to laugh. Then Kelly responded "no not quite we have decided to adopt." Everyone was saying congratulations when Chief asked "When are you going to pick the kid up" I replied "We were hoping you could let us off shift early to go pick the child up and bring them back home".
"Of course whatever you need remember 51 are a massive family." So we set off to the orphanage, as we pulled in we saw a girl no older than 17 staring out of her window. At the same time we both said "Let's adopt her". We then got out of the car and walked in.

Kelly's POV
When we walked in we saw a lady at the front desk I said " Hi we would like to adopt a child" the kind woman looked up and horsley responded with " Well of course dears a fine couple like you deserves a perfect child". She looked back at her piece of paper and then said "give me one moment to go collect all of the possible children for you to adopt" she then called them down and one by one went through the names, the girl we were interested in was called Issy. Stella nodded agreeing with the choice we made in the car so we adopted Issy.

Issy's POV
I have just been newly adopted by a wonderful couple and I could not be happier, their names are Kelly and Stella and they told me they were firefighters at house 51. We collected my stuff and got in their car driving away happily. Stella sat in the back with me it was really nice there and they spoke to me about my hobbies and how good I am at art and where I would be staying. They said that while they were on shift there's a spare bed at the firehouse I could take him sleep in that when they were at the firehouse I would be at my house and when they were at home I would be at home it was a simple regime that somehow worked for us and they said tomorrow they would introduce me to the firehouse members.

A few days later
I had settled in just fine with Callie instead of a really nice but today they were on shift so I was kind of nervous about meeting so many new people they assured me that they would all be really kind and welcoming but I still have my doubts. Kelly parked his car on the street and Stella held my hand as we walked up the long drive in front of us were a Latino man and a bold headed man both walking up the drive together. Stella went to get changed while Jelly sat with me and the two men at what everybody seemed to call the squad table. As we were talking I heard a voice behind me that sounded like music to my ears, I turned around and saw an older shorter man and a younger taller man that looked like a god. He had blonde hair and blue eyes that were perfect...
