"Andy please calm down and listen to me" she said as Andy paced the bathroom. The two of them now locked in together. Andy turned and glared at her.
"Calm down? How am I supposed to be calm after all this!" Andy yelled. "Be quiet you're going to wake everyone up" She said quietly making Andy scoff. "Now you're trying to shush me so I won't wake up your precious family" he said.
The word "family" said with much disgust. "How dare you leave me, and for what? To raise another child!" He said angrily, tears pricking at his eyes.
"I can't believe after all these years you were alive" he said much quieter now as he looked at her with hurt clear in his eyes. "And you never came to get me" he said, walking toward the door. "Andy wait, just hear me out please" she said as she grabbed him arm.
"What" He didn't face her just stayed turned away. "Me and your father weren't on perfect terms, you know that" she said in desperation, "there was always fighting and fighting and fighting. I had enough so I wanted to leave" she said, letting go of his arm and looking down.
"I never loved your father, our marriage was arranged by our parents, but I loved you, still do." she looked back up to see that he was still turned away and she sighed. "I had seen the humans and I just...wanted to be apart of their world" she said with a small laugh. Referencing the song from the little mermaid.
A small smile made its way onto Andy's face. It was Ryes favorite song from the movie and he always sang it at the top of his lungs. "Your dad was mad when I suggested going to land, claiming that we were 'born in the sea' and we 'belong in the sea'" she scoffed, Andy rolling his eyes.
His father had told him that same thing every time he'd mentioned going to land. "So I went to Bela" she said and Andy gasped, turning to her fully. She laughed "I know just because she's a 'sea witch' you think she's mean but she's actually very sweet" she said with a small smile.
"She gave me three sea shells, an orange one..." she said hold out her hand and showing the orange seashell that was made into a ring. "A pink one..." she smiled, gesturing to the one on Andy's necklace. He looked down at it and back to her with a small smile.
"And, a blue one" she finishes and Andy thinks back to the one on Brooks bracelet. "What were they for?" Andy asks curiously. "They are magic, they help keep our tails from showing up at the slightest touch of water" she says and Andy nods.
"Is Brook..." Andy trailed and she shook her head. "No, Brook not one of us but he can talk to animals" she said with a laugh as she remembered the first time a dog talked to brook. He freaked out but eventually he got use to it.
"Anyway, your father threatened to lock me in the dungeon if I tried to escape again so I knew if I did escape, I could never come back" Andy looked down at his feet. If he ever tried to go back, would he be locked away?
"Hey" she said, taking his face into her hands, "everything's going to be fine" she assured, kissing his forehead. Andy smiled and relaxed into that familiar feeling he missed dearly. "I also knew your father was in love with Celesta" she said with a scoff, "like I couldn't see the looks they gave each other, he never looked at me like that."
Andy now felt very bad for her. He couldn't imagine being married to someone that he didn't love, even if it was his own parents who weren't in love. "Andy, I'm so sorry for leaving you behind but I had to, I hope you can forgive me" she said, taking his small hands into her even smaller ones.
"Of course I forgive you" he said with smile on his face. She smiled brightly at him, pulling him into a bone crushing hug. "I missed you so much" she whispered into his ear. "I missed you too mom" he said back.
"Okay so, how do you feel about Rye?" She asked smirking as Andy blushed. "Nope, Goodnight mom" Andy said unlocking the door only to be met face to with Brook.
"You're my b-brother?" Brook said, a look of pure shock on his face. Andy's mouth opened and closed like a fish out of water. He looked over to his mom for an answer and she sighed.
"Yes Brook, he is your brother" she said, moving a little past Andy to get closer to Brook, "and I'm so sorry for not telling you, both of you" she said looking back to Andy.
Brook was quiet for a few seconds before speaking, "well this is shocking but I'm so happy" he said, pulling Andy into a hug. Their mom then hugged the two of them, turning it into a big group hug.
"Okay not to ruin the moment, but Rye could wake up at any minute" Andy says making them break apart. His mom smirks at him making him blush once again. "No, goodnight" he says grabbing onto Brooks hand and leading them back to his room.
He climbed into bed first, moving back until his back as against Ryes chest, then brook climbed in. Copying his movements. Rye immediately wrapped his arms around Andy's waist, his nose finding it way into his hair. Andy smiled, relaxing into him. "Goodnight" Andy whispered to Brook and Rye before closing his eyes and drifting off to sleep.
