I finally did it.
I finally decided to leave my home town to start off somewhere new where nobody new my secret.
I was driving in my beat up car to my mom's new location, I should be relieved to leave, but I wasn't. I couldn't understand why I felt this way. My thoughts were suddenly set to a pause as I pulled up to my moms house. "I guess I'm here.", I thought to myself. I parked my car and headed up to the door. I peaked into the house where it was pitch black except this one little lamp light was on. Strange... I shook off all my bad thoughts and knocked on the door. The door opened in an instant. "Gabby!", the voice said. "Come in!" I walked inside the decent sized house. "Wow...", I thought. "It's certainly nicer than back at our old home.", I exclaimed. "You must be starving! There's a great diner right down the street.", my mom explained. She grabbed my hand and dragged me to the car. As we were driving I saw the neon lights of a sign that read "Pop's Chock'lit Shoppe". "Is that where we're going Mom?", I asked. "Yep", she stated. As we walked into the diner all heads were turned on us. "Welcome ladies, what can I get you tonight?", the tall man asked. "Just two vanilla milkshakes please."Mom said. "Coming right up!" "Where should we sit Gabby?" I pointed to the back of the diner and noticed a beanie wearing boy sitting in the booth right in front.
Jughead's POV
I sat in my booth typing away at my computer when this brunette hair girl and her mom walked though the doors of the diner. She was beautiful, the young girl not the mom of course (we don't need another Ms.Grundy and Archie situation lol) She had to of been new here. I know every person in this town, and before you ask no, I'm not a stalker. I'm just very observant. I watched as the two ordered their milkshakes when she pointed over to me. Well, I thought she was pointing at me. I tried not to stare as she sat down in the booth right across from me.
Gabby's POV
My mom and I sat down in the booth waiting for our milkshakes when the boy sitting in the booth across from us spoke up. "So, are you new around here, I've never noticed you before.", the boy said. "Yeah, I just got here 30 minutes ago.", I said. "So how are you liking it so far?", he asked. "Did you not hear anything I just said?", I asked teasingly. "Oh yeah sorry there's not much to see in 30 minutes.", he laughed.
"Your milkshakes ladies.", the man said as he placed our milkshakes down. The boy went back to typing on his computer. "Mom, if you don't mind I'm going to go sit with the mysterious boy.", I whispered. "Okay honey have fun, but not too much fun.", my mom laughed. "Mom!", I yelled back while sitting in the boy's booth.
"So, you come here often.", I asked. The boy just sat there typing away ignoring her question. I sat there awkwardly for a few seconds when I got a wicked idea. I reached over the table and snatched his beanie off his head. "Do you mind?", he asked. "No.", I said teasingly. "Give it back.", he whined while trying to steal it back from the girl. "Not until you tell me who you are.", she stated. "Fine.", he said and he slouched back into the booth. "The names Jones, Jughead Jones.", he said with a smirk. "Did you just go James Bond on me?", I asked while trying hard not to laugh at his cheesyness. (I'm making that a word) "I believe I did, and I also believe you need to tell me about yourself so it's fair.", he stated. "You're very right.", I said. "My names Gabriella Earnhart."
"Now will Ms.Earnhart tell me where she moved from?", he asked. "She will" "I moved here from Mystic Falls.", I said. "Where in the world is that?", he asked very surprised. " It's somewhere in Virginia I never cared to look.", I said with a laugh. "What made you leave?", he asked. Gabby felt her whole body tense. She wouldn't dare to tell him about her past and about her secret. It could leave him and even the whole town in possible danger. "Gabby, are you okay?", he asked with a slight concerned look on his face. "What? Oh, yeah I'm fine. Sorry.", she said looking a bit sad. Jughead knew something was up but knew it wasn't his place to ask her about it. "Maybe later. Maybe later I'll ask her or she'll tell me about what's going on", he thought. I took a sip of milkshake. We sat in silence for a few minutes. "So", he said breaking the silence. I looked up from my now empty glass. "When do you start classes at Riverdale High?", he asked. "Tomorrow, I'm kind of nervous.", I said with a slight frown. "Don't worry you can sit with me and my gang", he said doing air quotations. I giggled at that. "I thought you were a loner.", I said smiling. "Who said I was a loner?", he asked. "Says me." "Okay you figured me out. I might be a loner but it's not like I can't have friends.", he stated.
3rd Person POV
Gabriella sat there feeling less nervous about her first day at Riverdale High tomorrow. Her mom got up from her booth and called over to her daughter. "Gabby, it's time to go home you need to get sleep before your first day of school tomorrow.", her mom said. "Mom, it's 9:30, but whatever.", she said getting up from the booth. "I'll see you tomorrow Jughead.", she said with a slight blush hoping he didn't see. He nodded, "Bye." As the pair left the diner Jughead just sat there thinking about Gabby.
"I think I'm starting to really like this girl.", Jughead thought to himself.
