Simon sighed as he took another sip of his drink before looking around at the almost empty bar he sat in.

They're weren't many people, maybe a dozen, probably because it was late. 1:48 in the morning to be exact.

Simon didn't really care how late it was, he just needed to clear his mind.

Truth is Simon has been keeping his feelings for a certain blonde Shadowhunter bottled up inside.

He ran out of the institute a few hours ago after everyone was arguing with him about why he's been so shy and distant lately.

Simon didn't know what to do. He knew that if Jace found out he would just be made fun of and tormented since the Shadowhunter already didn't like him, or so Simon thought.

Simon perked up a bit when he heard the quick sound of a bell signalling that the door to the bar had been opened.

Seconds later a figure took a seat beside him, Simon didn't dare to look.

"Anything for you?" The bartender asked the person.

"Beer." Was all he said.

Simon didn't even have to look up to know that the voice belonged to none other than Jace Herondale.

"What are you doing here?" The musician asked without looked up from his drink.

"Everyone's worried about you." Jace answered.

"Then why didn't any if then come instead of you." Simon replied.

"Honestly." The blonde started. "I was worried too."

"Is that a joke?" Simon asked, shifting in his seat to look at Jace as the bartender set down the shadowhunters drink before walking away.

"I'm trying to be nice here." Have responded.

"Well that's a lot coming from you." The Vampire said as he took another sip of his drink.

Jace just scoffed as rolled his eyes as he lifted his drink to his mouth.

"Keep rolling your eyes pretty boy maybe you'll find your brain back there." Simon joked.
