A Good Morning Indeed

Tweek's POV

After a good night of sleep the sun began to rise. It slipped past my blinds, creeping into my room. Lines of sunlight painted my room, revealing small particles of dust floating around. The blinding, yet calming light, mixed with my blaring alarm woke me up. I only got around two hours of sleep, but that was considered pretty good in my opinion. Normally the most sleep I get all night is a total of thirty minutes. The only reason I even went to sleep at all was because we ran out of coffee in the kitchen. So instead of staying up with nothing to keep my mind off my exhaustion, I decided trying to sleep was the best option I had. Slowly and quietly I dragged myself out of my hot covers and over to the closet. Of course I just picked my normal button up and some black jeans. Before I could grab my normal white sneakers that were falling apart, something caught my eye. In the corner of my shoe rack there was a pear of pristine white sneakers. Craig had gotten me them for my birthday after seeing how destroyed my normal pair is. I grabbed my new sneakers, phone, and empty travel mug before running downstairs. The sound of cups clinking was heard from the kitchen as I stopped at the bottom step to slide my shoes on.

"Tweek, I need your mug!" My mother called to me. I quickly hopped into the room, sliding my mug across the counter. She grabbed it as I finished buttoning up my shirt, some of the buttons in the wrong slots. When I looked up at her my beverage was in her hand, steam escaping from the top. She transferred the drink to my hand with a small smile. "Alright, get going before you're late," my brown haired mother ushered me out the door, closing it behind me.

I took small sips from my coffee at first, waiting for it to cool down a little. By the time I made it to school the once warm mug was replaced with a light, empty feeling. With a tug the front door opened, revealing a hallway filled with small clumps of people. My eyes fell to the ground, occasionally flickering to people who walk past me. I finally made it to my locker after catching snippets of other conversations. With a quiet sigh I put in the combination, pulling the small door open. I placed my empty mug in the confined space before realizing that I left all my stuff at home.

Just then a familiar voice interrupted my upcoming panic. "Hey there Tweekers," the words didn't bother me, but he caught me off guard. I slightly jumped, but wasn't given the opportunity to say anything. "Is everything okay? Did somebody hurt you?" After his second question he looked around, glaring at every person who walked past.

I softly chuckled and leaned against the lockers. "Well, somebody is energetic this morning. To answer your questions, I'm fine. Just tired is all." When I finished speaking I twitched, one of my eyes squeezing shut for a moment. I turned and shut my locker before returning my gaze to the amazing man in front of me.

"Okay I was just-" As he was speaking Craig let out a small yelp. When we saw who was behind him I rolled my eyes. "Don't touch my ass McCormick!" Craig growled at him as the blonde walked away with a grin. I've always hated Kenny. He's always had a crush on Craig and never did anything to hide it. "Anyways, we should skip today. I see you don't have your stuff, and there's no point in staying anyways."

Almost on cue that little pesk came back over. "We're skipping? Sounds fun!" Craig didn't answer him. Instead he grabbed my hand and pushed the blonde boy away. The two of us simply walked out the school and nobody stopped us. Outside there were birds chirping and a few kids talking. The sun was warm against my skin, but it was bearable. Somehow the white blanket of snow coating the ground was still in place. Even when it was too hot for most of the residents in this town, the cold snow persisted. It was almost inspiring in some way..

"S-so Craig.. What do you want to do?" I interrupted the silence as I brought my gaze to him. He thought for a moment, slightly looking down. His lips slightly pursed as ideas ran through his mind. I always loved watching him think. There's something about his expression that enchants me..

"Maybe we can just go to my house? My family is on a trip, so they won't know that we're there," Craig brought up his idea with a shrug. I simply nodded and looked ahead. The heat had made it slightly uncomfortable to hold hands, so I took mine back and rolled up my sleeves. "Oh, so you don't want to hold hands now?" He asked with a small grin. After rolling my sleeves up I slid my hands into my back pockets.

"No, it's just too hot.." I mumbled with a small shrug, looking ahead once more. For a moment I only heard my own footsteps, but didn't think much of it. Two arms wrapped around my torso, stopping me in my tracks. Of course it was my boyfriend, but the reason was unknown to me. Before I could turn to look at him the feeling of fingers digging into my side appeared. When I tried to hold back from reacting he began to tickle me harder.

Small giggles that I was holding back escaped from my lips. Craig leaned forward without stopping. "Is it really just the weather?" As he spoke I frantically nodded. I tried to escape his grasp, but it wasn't possible. "I can't hear you Tweekers."

"Yes, it's just uncomfortable with the heat!" I squeaked out, finally free from him. After I calmed down the two of us started walking once more. When we got to his house I made my way to the couch while Craig looked at the movie selection. I plopped onto the soft sofa, lightly bouncing upon impact. The tall boy walked over and took a seat next to me as the movie went to the main menu. We both kicked off our shoes before I was pulled closer to him. The familiar smell of his favorite energy drink wafted around the room, but I didn't mind too much. At least it overpowered the stench of cigarettes..
