I remember it well.

When my mother and father were slaughtered in cold blood by an unknown assassin.

The day was slow and warm, Cyrodiil was bright with summer. I was catching a runaway calf on my parents' farm. It was a tricky fellow, but with a little foot work and some jumping off rocks, I managed to capture the calf and lead it back to his mother.

That's when I heard the scream.

I rushed to see what the matter was, and was unpleasantly surprised to find the people who raised me...dead. Lying in a pool of their blood, and their eyes wide open, staring into oblivion. I didn't know what to think. At first, I was confused. Is this really happening? Then, the grief and sadness came crashing down on me, and I sank to my knees, staring at the lifeless bodies. Why them? Why now? Then, I felt the anger rush to my head, my fists clenching and my eyebrows furrowing together. Who had done this? Why? Where could I find them? Can they be killed?

I cried out in anguish and pure wrath, tangling my fingers in my long, dark brown hair. Tears streamed from my golden brown eyes.

The stable boy and the maid came rushing to the scene, and we all knew, something had to be done. Luckily, a few Imperial Soldiers were passing by per their usual route to the nearby camp. However, they offered us no services.
