"I'm just like anyone else."
I let out a harsh laugh, too harsh for my liking. "Yeah, 'cos everyone has super powers. Sorry, I forgot."
Suddenly he was in front of my face , the time he took to get there was approximately the spans of a blink. The action made my breath catch in my throat.
"What?" His hot breath caressed my face. It smelt like juicy fruit gum. "Do you think there's a metal robot head behind this mask?"
"Could be an interesting theory."
He let out a heavy sigh then looked away from me. I could finally breathe normally.
"Behind this mask, there is two eyes that tear up while watching the movie Marley and Me. Behind this mask, there is a nose that can smell your warm vanilla perfume."
I starred at him and he unblinking starred back. His gloved hands were placed swiftly on either sides of my face, holding my face firmly and forcing me to look into his seaweed green eyes.
"Behind this mask is a person that is capable of human emotion. You don't understand because all you see is the costume, not what's behind the mask."
