Finally his birthday

Finally his birthday.

Jisung had a smile plastered on his face as he shifted from one position to another on his bed, finding comfort in his sheets. He planned to sleep the whole day, but it seems like that isn't happening.

As much as he didn't want to care, he can't help but acknowledge his special day. He has been convincing himself that it's just any other day, but deep down he wanted to celebrate this significant date.

Waking up after his second attempt at going back to sleep, Jisung stared at the ceiling upon heaving out a sigh. "That means I can finally get wasted."

It wasn't the ceiling he was talking to, he was speaking to his parents up there. Despite not getting an answer, Jisung chuckled at the idea that it would be his mother nagging at him like how Jaemin usually does. His father would just be nodding his head behind, giving moral support to his wife.

Forcing his body up from his bed, Jisung grabbed a pair of shirt and basketball shorts and laid his clothes down on his bed after. He stretched his body first before he took a towel and made his way to the bathroom. Taking a cold shower and wearing his clothes after the bath, he was not planning on going out of the house. Thus, Jisung flopped his body back down on his bed and decided to spend the day rotting there.

"Or maybe I could buy a cake?" A treat for himself. That was what Jisung had in mind.

He had to admit, this twentieth birthday of his is kind of lonely. It was more than enough to only have Jaemin with him in celebrating his day. It may not look like it on his previous birthdays, but even if Jisung looked annoyed with his cousin's silly antics and exaggerated surprises, he's more than grateful to have company.

For the past two years of living alone, Jaemin's voice was the only one filling his apartment.

"Annoying, but I like it." Jisung mumbled under his breath. The lively household in general, he missed it. "Should I go back to living with them?"

Groaning, Jisung pushed himself up from his bed once more. He took his phone and wallet from his desk and went out of his room, making his way down to the living room. Scanning the apartment, he never knew how dull and soulless it was. He never planned on renting a big one, but Jaemin insisted since he's going to pay half of it.

Which is the reason why he's staying at a quite decent place with a living room, separated kitchen, and two bedrooms. That other room was supposed to be a guest room, or Jisung would like to call it Jaemin's room, but because his older cousin would often sleep together with him in his own room whenever he pays a visit, he never bothered to clean that other room. It became his storage room in due time.

Jisung hated the idea of cuddling, but Jaemin gave him a family's warmth. It has always been what he wanted to feel.

"I really wish Jaemin was here." Jisung whined, forcing himself to deal with the situation because  he knew well that his cousin's world doesn't revolve only around him. "I need to buy a cake."
