14. Stark Expo

"How was the weekend?" Mom asked as she walked into my office.

"Great" I beamed as she took a seat "how's, your father doing?"

"You know how he's mom, always good" I smiled a bit as she nodded "yeah, he is...anyway, can you please hand over Obi's house keys to his family back in Malibu...I know I should be the one doing it, but I don't feel like it..."

"Sure mom" I responded, even though I didn't want to drive all the way to Malibu, I had to because mom didn't want to meet Obadiah's family because after everything that has happened mom don't feel good & she has the worst poker face ever so I'm sure if she visits them everything will blow up on our faces.

"Thank you, sweetheart" she beamed as she handed me the keys "I love you" she blew a kiss as she left. I rang Nikki up & she agreed to accompany me to Malibu not because she wanted to but because she wanted to talk about Tony Stark being ironman, ever since the grand reveal the only thing James & Nikki wants to talk about is Tony. And everywhere I go there's Tony so, I felt like I was in a fish tank & Tony Stark was the owner if that makes any sense at all.

"So, are we dropping by at Stark's?" Nikki gazed at me as I shook my head "absolutely not".

"Why?" She frowned a bit.

"We are here to drop the keys not visit Tony" I muttered as I got out of the car & rang the door bell "hello?" The maid opened the main door & informed me that the family was not home so, I handed over the keys to her & gave her my number & got back into the car.

"Done?" Nikki asked as I responded "yeah".

"Can we go to the beach?" She looked at me.

"Why?" I was a bit surprised.

"It's been a while, I have not been to the beach" she told me "we have beaches in LA" I reminded her.

"But they are not like the ones in here, please" she nagged as I agreed "okay" & drove us to the nearest beach, there was a man selling strawberries so we brought a box & headed out towards the beach. It was peaceful in there & I could see a family at a distant & that was it, the beach was empty & I was glad it was. I sat down & took a bite of a strawberry as I gazed at the waters, it reminded me of the first time I met Tony Stark at the beach who knew I would meet him at the beach at such an odd timing & who knew I'd even fall for a playboy like him. My thoughts were interrupted by someone calling my name at a distant, I turned around & saw that it was none other than Demi "Demi" I yelled as she raced towards me, we hugged "What are you doing here?" She asked catching her breath "I could ask you the same" I chuckled.

"Well me & Josh were just strolling, when I saw Nikki & she told me you were here as well" she said.

"Yeah, we just came to drop Obi's keys & ended up at the beach" I giggled.

"Yeah...I'm really sorry about Obadiah, how's your mom holding up?" She asked.

"She's okay" I said slowly.

"I know it's hard, but I'm here for you if you need anything" she looked at me.

"I know" I smiled a bit.
